Summary: Blades Bones and Baked Flan
Review: Brian Jaques does an excellent job of capturing humor, mystery, fantasy, and combat in the story of Marlfox. In this story a guosim shrew named Dippler (my favorite),a warrior squirrel named Danflor, and a a beautiful squirrel maid named Songbreeze embark upon a journey to recapture the tapestry of Martin the Warrior from "magical" foxes call Marlfoxes on a forgotten lake. While these 3 friends are doing this, the warriors of Redwall Abbey are defending their fort from a group of Marlfoxes, hundreds of ferrets, and water rats. While defending the fort they eat many scrumptious foods that make you want to cook and eat them also, just to celebrate the Redwaller's victories. I'd rate this book a 100 but the minimum is 5. I highly reccomend you read this book. You can probably personally relate to one of the characters, as I can Dippler.

Summary: Mostly an adventure story, Marlfox also has mystery.
Review: Marlfox is about 3 young friends: Songbreeze Swifteye, a squirrel, Dannflor Reguba, a squirrel, and Dippler, a shrew. They go out in search of the famous tapestry of Martin the Warrior. It is also about Marlfoxes who are attacking Redwall abbey.

Marlfoxes live on an island in the middle of a lake that is surrounded by dangerous pike shoals. One thinks they can vanish whenever they want to. A Marlfox is black in color and has pale eyes. A Marlfox always carries an axblade and has a cape. In all, Marlfoxes are very dangerous creatures.

My favorite character is Dannflor. My favorite part is when Dippler, Dannflor, and Burble, who is a watervole, get sucked into a hole in a cliff that goes underground. Guess what happens next? I like it because there is high drama and it keeps you at the edge of your seat.

Like the ten other books in the Redwall series, Marlfox is mostly an adventure story, but it also has some mystery and some fantasy.

I think that Marlfox is a great book and whoever likes reading will like this book.

Summary: Michael ...
Review: The summerization of this bok can be explained in different ways. At the beginning it tells about different groups of characters encountering different bad guys, which are all marlfoxes. Six marlfoxes, two each go out and meet three groups of animals. All of the good guys go to Redwall to warn the villagers that marlfoxes are among the Mossflower Woods. They all meet up at Redwall and team up against the marlfoxes that try to steal the tapestry of Redwall. One by one good guys and bad guys are killed and murdered at Redwall. The marlfoxes steal the tapestry, and the smartest, slyest marlfox, Mokkan, steals it from the other marlfoxes. After that four young warriors from Redwall go out to retrieve it. Meeting many friends along the way, the four young warriors travel to the Island of Marl. This is where the marlfox Queen Silth lives, later on to be Queen Lantur because of Silth's death.
With help the four young warriors get to the island and free some of the slaves. The slaves help to fight the guards on the island. Three of the four warriors go to the king's room to take back the tapestry. The escaping marlfox, Mokkan, is later strangled and drowned by one of the slaves. In the end the four young warriors become leaders of their groups or tribes.

Summary: Spaectacular....all you'd want in a book!!
Review: I love Brian Jacques's books from the Redwall series, and have read them all. They're all extremely good, but Marlfox is my favorite. Marlfoxes are evil grayish foxes who have come to plunder the peaceful Redwall Abbey. When they steal Redwall's most prized possesion, three young friends are determineded to get it back, meeting new friends-and foes-along the way. This book is packed with action and will make you laugh and cry. I loved the ending so much that I actually got up and cheered!! I truly felt like I was in the story! This is one of those books you can't put down and that you'll want to read over and over, trust me. It's about friendship and courage, and I'd definitely reccomed it to anyone.

Summary: Marlfox
Review: Marlfox is a rather good story, but it isn't one of Brian Jacques' best. Redwall has no leaders except Cregga Rose Eyes, who refuses to be an Abbess, and the cellarkeeper from The Long Patrol is still alive, Gurrbowl. How that is possible I do not know unless moles live forever. Also the adventuring part is quite boring and the White Ghost part is a bit ridiculous.

Summary: best book out of the previous 10
Review: This is a very good book. I got hooked on it right from the very first page and couldn't wait to find out what would happen. This eleventh installment of the Redwall series is one for the ages. You should hurry and read this book. I think you'd enjoy it.

Summary: Marlfox
Review: Marlfox Penguin Putnam, 1998, 365 pp., $6.99 Brian Jacques ISBN 0-441-00693-0

With their silver gray cloaks and skills of stealth, Marlfoxes are almost invisible. In this book seven Marlfoxes and their army of water rats go to war and steal Redwall's most valued object, the tapestry of Martin the Warrior, and bring it back to their secret island in the middle of a huge lake. On the way, they run into lots of problems such as their boat sinking. Now two squirrels, Song Swifteye and Dann Reguba, along with a water vole named Burble and a shrew named Dippler must retrieve it! This book is about the adventures that Song and her friends have on their journey. On the way they meet some very interesting people.
If you like exciting fantasy books that you can't put down you'll love Marlfox! Of all of the eleven Redwall books that I've read, this one is my favorite. To understand some of the things in this book, however you might want to read some of the other books in the Redwall series as well.

Summary: Marlfox- A Classic!
Review: Marlfox, without doubt, is one of Brian's Jaques best Redwall tales. It contains suspense, battle, and the usual Redwall life all weaved into one plot. The story starts off with the wayfaring Swifteyes seeking refuge, only to stumble upon the humble Redwall Abbey. Set after The Long Patrol, Redwall lacks the proper warriors to garrison the Abbey, thus inviting danger to its gates. Far away, on a distant island, the Marlfoxes thrived, their leader being the High Queen Silth. She is eager to obtain the riches of Mossflower, so she sends out her most trustworthy Marlfoxes to do so. Meanwhile, Redwall is quite unprepared, and the Abbey is the hands of two young warriors; Songbreeze Swifteye, and Dannflor Reguba. The Magic Marlfoxes face a tough opposition at Redwall, but still they manage to plunder Martin's Tapestry, the heart and soul of Redwall. Now, it is Song and Dann's mission to restore the tapestry to its rightful home and restablize Mossflower country, with the help of much needed companions.
My favorite character is Janglur Swifteye, Song's father, who is so swift of paw, that he manages to slay one of the so called "Magic Marlfoxes", that endanger the land.
This enigmatic sequel to The Long Patrol is a must read, and in my opinion, second to only Mossflower overall.
