Summary: Splendid book of memoirs of Father-daughter
Review: Based on his song, Bob Carlisle re-visits the wonderful relationship established between Fathers and daughters. A good accompaniment to "A Father's Love" -- a similar reflection on the bonding between Fathers and sons. Easy, enjoyable and inspirational reading. For the busy Dad who hasn't stopped to smell the roses, and learned to understand and appreciate one's greatest joy: a child. A must reading for all men/husbands who are seeking to become good Fathers.

Summary: Touched my heart
Review: Four years ago we purchased this book as a gift for our friends when they had their second baby girl. As I read a few of the stories in the bookstore I had to swallow deep to hold back tears. I was touched by the thoughtfullness of the stories, relationships and memories. Now as my husband will be celebrating his first Father's Day as a loving father of our new baby girl I couldn't think of anything more special to give him than this book. I am so pleased I found it.

This little Golden Book takes you back to that special time when cuddling up next to Mom and Dad for a story was the highlight of the day. This beautiful story is from a father telling his little daughter how very much he is blessed to have her, just how much he loves her and how someday, though she will grow up and wear a wedding dress and leave him, he will always have her in his heart. Review: The song butterfly kisses is difficult to listen to without crying. There is something beautiful about the love of a father who cares for his daughter. This is a book for little girls who are "daddy's little girl." The full song is published in the front of this book. Bob Carlisle is well known for co-writing the song "Butterfly Kisses" with Randy Thomas as a birthday surprise for his then sixteen-year-old daughter. What a dad! "You were my precious daughter, and I loved you from the bery beginning. I fluttered my eyelashes on your warm cheek. You smiled at me and fluttered right back. That's how Butterfly Kisses started..." The art of Sally Huss brightens up the text. You see pictures of when a daughter draws a creative picture of her dad and he thinks it looks like a potato head or when his daughter is an angel in the Christmas pageant and how on the dad's birthday the daughter bakes her dad a cake with licorice and jelly beans. Then the daughter starts to grow up and the dad feels sad that he is going to lose his little girl one day. But he thanks God for her. Cute book for any little girl who loves her daddy.

Summary: Touched my heart
Review: Though this is an exceptional book, I wonder how many other stories were stolen without knowledge to the original author. I was in a Radio contest in my home town in 1997. We were to submit a reason why Bob Carlisle should write a personal song for myself and my father. I wrote the story emailed it to the radio station. I was contacted by Publishing Co Nelson and told I did not win the contest but if I would give more details to my story I would be considered for a new book they were puting out. If my story was picked they would contact me. Well my story is in here, (word for word) under a fake name. I was never told it even made it into the book. I know of one other who is now in contact with a lawyer because her story was also stolen and published without consent. hmmmm. The book should be called "Stolen memories of fathers and daughters" Sure hope they made a huge profit, they may need it.
