Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: My teacher Mrs. Kleback(the best teacher in the world) made us read Up A Road Slowly and at first I thought it would be boring and girly, but once we started readingit I loved it. Uncle Haskell was my favorite character because he was very funny and was always a character. He reminds me of most of my uncles. This is a must-read book for all ages. Thanks Mrs. Kleback!!!
Rating: Summary: Old and New Review: My teacher recommended this book to me when I was in 5th grade and I read it then. I also just read it again, in 7th grade, for a big book review. The book is old but the story is timeless. Julie Trelling's story could captivate any soul and that's exactly what it did to mine! Thank's Mrs. Julie Canty for sharing this book with me, it truly is a work of art!

It is a story about a little girl's childhood. I could relate to this book alot. It made me laugh and cry. I would reccomand this to ever girl alive.

Rating: Summary: I wish more books like this were being written.... Review: This coming-of-age story featured memorable characters that I really cared about. I wish that Ms. Hunt would write/had written a sequel. I am a children's librarian, and immediately after reading this book, I was recommending it to several patrons, young and old alike. It won the coveted Newbery Award for outstanding children's literature before I was even born. Great Book!
Rating: Summary: This was a really good book that was very enjoyable!! Review: This excellent book was one of the novels that we had to read in reading class. Irene Hunt has a beautiful writing style that makes the book easy to read. The characters were so real that you really got to feel like you knew them. The book dealed with real life issues and problems. I would reccomend this book to anyone my age because they can relate very well to it. You will get so into this book that you'll be upset when it's over!!!
