Rating: Summary: Surprising Read Review: My first taste of Paullina's work was Eleven Hours. I had to read more so I read Tully and Red Leaves. What a versatile writer! All three books are intriguing but different. Red Leaves does kill one of it's most intriguing characters early in the story; however, I was only impelled to read on. I was surprised at this unusual plotline, but I found it very effective in this instance. Enjoyed the book immensely.
Rating: Summary: Page Turner and Awesome Suspense Review: My sister bought this book and read it in two days. She kept raving to me about how great a read it was and was hounding me to read it. Let me tell you, It was one of the best books I have ever read!! We told our father it was good, he read it, and he also loved it. Next it was my older sister's turn to read it and she loved it. Now it's being passed around to her coworkers so I will probably never see it again!! I recommend it to anyone who loves a murder/suspense novel with a surprising catch/twist at the end that will knock your socks off!!
Rating: Summary: A thrilling page-turner Review: Once I start reading this book, I couldn't put it down. It was so full of mysterious twist and turns. I also read "Tully" by Paulina Simons. But I think this book was much better.
Rating: Summary: great mystery Review: Red leaves by Paullina Simmons is a great read. It is a book that makes you guessing all the way to the end. I finished it in 6 days it was so good.
Rating: Summary: It is an intriguing tale of denial and ultimately betrayal. Review: Red Leaves is a good book for entertaining away a slow weekend or while waiting on your flight. It is by no means a classic but it does pass fair. The setting of the book is interesting but the characters are flat for my taste. The story gets off to a good start and you do at least want to know what happens just like with your daily soaps. I will give it two out of four stars.
Rating: Summary: AUTHOR'S SECOND NOVEL Review: RED LEAVES is beginning to sell and reorder in just the first few days of distribution. Paullina found her largest audience when the paperback of her first novel, TULLY, was issued as a St. Martin's Paperback. Incidentally that book was wildly successful in several European countries, as well as Australia, where it was a number one bestseller. Publication rights for RED LEAVES have already been sold to England, Austalia, Germany, and Denmark. Several other foreign countries are in negotiation with the publisher.Tape editions are available from Amazon. And in light of the excellent first reviews, Hollywood is chasing the project. All of this as Paullina awaits the birth of her third child! It's a busy time for this remarkably talented young writer.--Robert B. Wyatt, president of A Wyatt Book, Inc
Rating: Summary: Once I started to read Red Leaves - I had to finish it! Review: Red Leaves, by Paullina Simons is a fantastic mystery that you just can"t stop reading. Not only is the author a great writer who some how peaks your interest on the first page, she keeps it up until the last page, when it all comes together. A great story, and another interesting fact is that the author was very familier with lots of the facts relating to the story and the places it visits. I was in many places described in the book and wondered how she knew so much about so many places. Also I often try to read (murder) novels by men as I had felt that women authors often lean towards women readers. Not Simons - she gets all of us. Great story. I have just purchassed her newest book Eleven Hours and so far it is as great as I remember Red Leaves, and I can't wait to get off this damned Webb Page so I can get out on my deck and get into it and finish it this weekend.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: Red leaves, great thru and thru. I could not wait to finish this book, it took me 3 days as much non stop as I could read. I highly recommend the book as it will keep you in suspense all the way through.
Rating: Summary: The enormity of the plan will change your view of life Review: Simons has written an absolutely incredible Whodunit. The misunderstood, seemingly quirky nature of the heroine who dies strangely. The hero's attempts to become involved in the storyline. The brother who does not fit. It has been a very long time since I have read such an amazing story with twists and turns that leave you shocked by their simplicity. Simons keeps a very firm grip on reality and leads you to a place where you think you know all the answers, only to have that reality blown away and replaced by something more real and even more sinister. Well done Paullina!
Rating: Summary: quite a boring read Review: this book starts out with some promise but seems to develop into a predictible and rather cumbersome plot I found the characters to be shallow and uninteresting but having said that I did find the authors style of writing to be enjoyable. A second rate secret history
