Summary: NO NEW MATERIAL HERE!
Review: Although this book was well written and had some points of interest, I had already read most of the information it contained elsewhere. And I am certain that anyone with a strong interest in Princess Diana would probably say the same thing.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Interesting details of a tragic accident.
Review: A sad story of the last hours of Diana, Princess of Wales. How different it could have been if only the Royal Family could have accepted her. Have been interested in the family since I was a small girl and had paper dolls of Elizabeth and Margaret Rose. How sad they grew up as they did. The monarchy is hopelessly outdated.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fascinating anecdotes and an action-packed account
Review: There were a lot of surprises in this easy-to-read account of the Princess's last days. I couldn't stop reading! I could visualize what was happening -- so much so that at times it made me very emotional. Too bad that after the powerful opening he went into old info on her growing up, etc., that I'd already read elsewhere, some of which was obviously taken from the biased and misnomered Morton book. There were at least two errors I found. But the material about Dodi and about Diana after the divorce was totally fresh to me. The final ride was intense. Actually, I wish he'd had yet another chapter with more follow-up. I'd rate it a 9 out of 10.

Summary: An exceptional, chronological look at the death of Diana.
Review: I have had a very hard time putting this book down! Christopher Anderson has written a book that captures the final months of Diana's life and includes comments and quotes from friends who shed light on the Princess' romance with Dodi Fayad and the shock of all those close to her when they learned of her death. Very interesting is the reaction of her former husband, Prince Charles, but also the completely unsympathetic reaction of Queen Elizabeth, who appears to be more concerned with royal jewelry, than with that fact that her grandsons' mother is dead. The book is a fast read, but fills in many of the blanks surrounding the death of Diana. If you were moved by the death of Diana, this is a MUST HAVE book

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An easy read full of startling revelations.
Review: Diana's death left such personal voids in so many lives. Those who knew her and those who did not. This books reaffirms every emotion felt when we learned of the Princess' untimely death. Unfortunately, it now seems even more senseless and tragic, as well as inevitable. Like the heroine of a greek tragedy she exhibited a childlike naivete where people, particularly men, were concerned. Despite all of the kind things she did for others, loneliness consumed her darkest moments. In her quest to find true love she appeared blinded and pitiable in an almost pubescent-like manner. How sad it had to end here in what seems like the middle of her story. I, as well as many, would have loved to have seen her face those demons and triumph. And in the end, as we had hoped in the beginning of her fairytale, to live happily ever after.

Summary: Definitely a MUST READ!
Review: This is a MUST READ! Anyone who has an interest in Princess Diana, who she was, and how she came to be in that tragic place and time, simply has to read this book. The research is outstanding, and, among other things, explains about some of the rumors that came out at the time of the crash, detailing what the rumors were and how they came to be. The writing, however, was a little on the rambling side, wandering through Diana's personal relationships in a very difficult manner. Once you pass through those, however, and the day of the crash unfolds, you find yourself saying to yourself, "Don't go out! Stay in the Ritz! Don't get in the car!" Don't pass this one up!

Summary: Not much more than was on 'Good Morning America'
Review: I was eagerly awaiting the release of this book and am sorry to say that most of what I read was already talked about on TV or in the papers in the reviews. Although interesting reading, I didn't come away satisfied and still felt I wanted to know more. Realizing that we probably will never know all of the facts, the book does offer interesting commentary from various sources. I question the validity of some of the material presented. A quick read but don't consider it one of my more memorable Diana books.

Summary: Less-Than Amused With Queen Elizabeth II In Wake of Book!
Review: Lots of juicy tidbits are brought out in this well-written volume by Christopher Andersen and most of the shocking ones relate to the behavior of the Queen in the time following the death of her former daughter-in law. Her zeal to find out what happened to Diana's Royal Jewels, the Monarch's outdated protocol and the drama surrounding her televised speech make this book well worth the purchase price! Many details are gathered and this author does a great job of presenting a most difficult event objectively. Two thumbs up! Hope the British people will read this, but doubt their libel laws will allow this. The subject is neatly presented and the events are neatly tied together and made more "understandable" here than in other books, articles and televised reports. I recommend this book for the fans of the late Princess and history buffs as well.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is a must read for all those interested in Diana.
Review: It is a revealing behind-the-scenes look at the events surrounding Diana's death. It is satisfying in its delivery of the juicy details Diana fanciers would want to know, for instance: Charles' and Camilla's real reaction to her death. Certain details are graphically described and therefore disturbing. Have Kleenex handy--this is a tremendously moving book.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: This book offers very little new insights into Diana's death
Review: Diana fans will be disappointed with the rehash of material from previous books about her life including the often repeated courtship, marriage and divorce stories that don't mesh with the title of this book. The amount of new information offered here could be covered in a magazine article. I expected something equivalent to The Day Kennedy Was Shot by Jim Bishop. A better book covering Diana's death is Death of a Princess:The Investigation by Sancton and MacLeod.
