Rating: Summary: Femme Fatale In Detail Review: As much that has already been printed about Princess Di, there is much more. This squeamish portrait of that fatal day is not for the faint of heart. With quotes from nurses, the priest who administered the princess's last rites, even the funeral employees who did her hair and makeup, Andersen's account is riveting, though sometimes very graphic. It won't make you like the Queen any better. After she learned of Di's death, the author says, the Queen called the British embassy in Paris to insist that any royal jewels on the princess be returned at once. You might see Prince Charles in a different light. His planning, over-riding his mother, and devotion to his hurting children will bring some tears about this complex woman who was fated to be forever in our hearts.
Rating: Summary: The Day Diana Died Review: The last day. For those who have followed the aftermath of the tragic accident a void has been filled. Some may say the book is too graphic but the violence of the accident was graphic and little can be said that will change that aspect. I feel that I know how a much loved princess spent her last day.
Rating: Summary: Diana fans, READ THIS BOOK Review: If you are a Diana fan, I recommend reading this book. The author tells in depth what went on at the hospital. I look at Prince Charles in a whole new light, knowing that he really did care about Diana and the pain he went through on that day. I cried reading this book and so will you. It really is a minute by minute review of the day she died. Such a tragic end to a beautiful person.
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: I just bought this book and I am delighted to say it is a good book to read. I think that the author put a lot of time putting this together. But I have only one falt in it . Where did or how could he get such in depth detail on the late princess. Did all these people really give all their detail to him of what happened when she died in the hospital for this book? Also I would like to remember the late princess in her beauty not lying naked under a sheet with massive wounds that is explained in great detail. I did not realize how in depth this book was going to be. I will always admire the princess and over all this was a really good book. Thank You
Rating: Summary: Riveting Review: Excellent book. Easy reading. Couldn't put it down. Not only informative about Diana and her life/death, but also a fasinating glimpse of the Queen and her heirs. A must read for any Diana/royal fans.
Rating: Summary: A must for all diana-fanatics who miss her so much. Review: This book was grest,so much detail!I highly recommend it,it would even interest non-Diana types.A great read, you can't put it down!oz
Rating: Summary: It was OK Review: The book is all right. It had so much detal-e.g. "Prince William had clearly outgrown another pair of pyjamas"-that you can't be sure if its real! But it is pretty well written and real.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down. Review: I found it very interesting. I've read every book I can find on her and this one was the most informative. I cried when it described the actions after her death, packing all her clothes up, the Queen's comments and thought it was very sad that she had to wear a borrowed dress home. I actually felt sorry for her jerk ex-husband. I think it is a good book for all of her "fans" to read. Matter of fact, I think I'll read it again!
Rating: Summary: I was transfixed, but skeptical. Review: I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book. The author covers not only the actions of Diana and Dodi before their fateful night, but the actions of what everyone else was doing at the time of the accident and at the time of her death. This is an easy read, as it reads like an article in the Enquirer. And yes, I found myself transfixed, against my better judgement. I have some questions about the authenticity of some of the information in the book. After all, who is really going to tell the author that Prince Charles was wearing blue pajamas at the time he received the call about Diana. And, I admit to learning more about the actual accident than I wanted to know. All in all, I would recommend the book, but keep in mind that not all the information may be fact.
Rating: Summary: Not worth the time. Review: This book took me all of 30 minutes to read...actually, I should say skim. It was like reading an enlongated version of a "National Enquirer" article. The time spent in the library scanning its pages was worth while only in the sense that I was waiting for a ride.
