Summary: Heartwarming
Review: I liked the characters in this book and thought it was a sweet love story. How could you not love these two. What a sweet, kind man Will was. Elly was a woman of great kindness and character. There were parts of the book that seemed slow though. Also, although I recognize that the way in which the characters spoke was realistic, I found reading it difficult.

Summary: Beautiful, Story!
Review: I listened to the audio cassette version for Morning Glory which I think is Lavyrle Spencer's greatest book. It's about the beautiful, down to earth story of Will and Ellie. This audio cassette version for Morning Glory read by Deborah Raffin is out of print and since I loved it so much I'm so satisfied that I kept it and I will treasure it! I just wish Lavryle Spencer would put out an unabridged audio recording for Morning Glory, that would be really nice!

Summary: From the 1st page, I was hooked!
Review: I think MORNING GLORY is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Elly was a woman who could have been easily defeated by her tragic family environment, but by experiencing the love of others, evolved into a strong, sensitive, determined woman. A lot of unexpected twists kept the story line moving, slowing at times to savor the magic of relationships. I have purchased my 3rd copy because I've recommended this book to so many!

Summary: You won't be disappointed!!
Review: I think that this is by far LaVyrle Spencer's best book. The story is wonderful and it touches everyone. Elly and Will are misfits that find joy with each other. When Will is accused of a terrible crime, you have to see if Elly and Will's love for each other is strong enough for them to overcome it. Everyone can relate to the characters. Elly is known as "Crazy Elly Dinsmore" and she was always teased as a child. The reader might see themself because they were a child that was teased or they might remember the Elly Dinsmore's that they knew. This book is exceptionally well written and longer than some of Spencer's other books, which is a definite plus. This is a novel that you would definitly want to have a sequel. Read it and find yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: I Wish I Could Of Given This Book More Than 5 Stars!!
Review: I truly loved this book! I wish I could have given it more than 5 stars that it deserves, this story made me smile, laugh and even cry. Will Parker, an ex-con who had a difficult life growing up, his past comes to haunt him. Elly's husbands dies leaving her with two boys and another on the way, The town thinks of her as crazy Elly but Will thinks of her has a beautiful person that he wants to get to know, I love these two characters. You will fall in love with Will, reading this book leaves you feeling good. I wish that LaVyrle Spencer would come out from hiding and start writing again. Her words are missed so much.
Happy Reading Lisa : ) Smile

Summary: A wonderful romance story
Review: I was about 15 when I read Morning Glory for the first time. Since then I have read it about 6 more times. It is the first book I read by Lavyrle Spencer. The characters in the book really captured my heart. It was like I was a part of the book as well. The story of the ex con coming to town and finding Ellie's ad, then they hit it off so well was great. I am a sucker for romance novels, and this one is one of my favorites.

Summary: Morning Glory
Review: I won't go into the plot since someone else has already done so but it is very seductive. What a well written romantic. My sister sent it to me. You want to cry at the love these two people feel for each other. When he has to leave her to go to war it is wretching. Be sure and read it if you are a romance person. It is very moving. I give few few books five starrs.

Summary: Not just another romance story
Review: I'm too young to remember the era this book is set in, but the characters have stayed with me long after I put it down. My neighbor loans me (from her vast collection) probably 2 romance novels a month, but this one I can't seem to forget, so I'm buying myself a copy even though I've already read it.
