Rating: Summary: Out of the Dark Review: I love Sala's books... just finished 'Out of the Dark' .. in record time!! However, I am having trouble finding books by this author. Most places won't ship to Canada and if they do it gets very expensive. Is there anywhere in Canada to get her 'out of date' books?
Rating: Summary: Unbelievable well written Review: I loved this book from first to last page. It broke the usual formulas for romance books. The couple weren't rich; the story is after they were married; and they remembered why they got married. His folks liked her and supported her.The character, Clay, was well written. I could feel his chest tightening; his lost of breath, the pain he felt when he lost his wife. I really like this book. SPOILERS: (Meaning don't read unless you have read the book.) What could have been better was the police not fumbling and bumbling so much; more credit to the PI; the bad guy employing guys that lacked professionalism. Too many oops.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC PAGE TURNER! Review: I loved this book. It was great from start to finish. The characters great. One of the things I appreciated most is that Clay and Frankie's love was believable. Their was suspense mixed in too. You never knew when the "villan" or his croonies were going to drop back in. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read romance. I plan on rereading it. Wonderful book. Please write more like this Sharon Sala.
Rating: Summary: One word: DISAPPOINTING Review: I picked up Sharon Sala's Remember Me because it was a recommendation for people who like Meryl Sawyer's works. The two cannot be compared. Sala's characters are one-dimensional and her plot is predictable. The genre of the novel is titled "Romantic Supense", but the work was surprisingly sparse in both these characteristics. A lack of intrigue coupled with an immature writing style leaves this book one I would not recommend.
Rating: Summary: Romantic and Suspensful, but predictable Review: I picked up this book just to have something to do for about 5 min. 5 hours later, I was done with it. I wasn't able to put it down! I don't remember any other book that had me so involved. After the wife disappeared, I wanted to see if she would come back. Then I wanted to find out what had happened and if she would get her memory back. I could tell you more why I liked it, but I might accidentaly give away too much of the book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, especially someone that enjoys suspense stories!
Rating: Summary: A real page turner! Highly recommend it! Review: I picked up this book just to have something to do for about 5 min. 5 hours later, I was done with it. I wasn't able to put it down! Rating: Summary: Terrific! Can I give it more STARS? Review: I read this book flying to Dallas from LA and what a page turner it was. The suspense and the romance made it such a great piece of reading entertainment. Along with Ms. Sala's book as Dinah McCall's "Tallchief", the characters will be well remembered long after you finish reading it. Kudos to Ms. Sala/Dinah McCall.
Rating: Summary: Don't Expect Much And You Won't Be Disappointed! Review: If you don't expect much coming into this read you won't be disappointed with how it plays out. I know that this sounds harsh but the fact remains that although Ms. Sala is a wonderful author this effort was not up to her usual standards.
Without going into a synopsis and therefore potentially ruining the story for readers, suffice it to say that this was a rather formulatic read that left me well...not satisfied. What was the exact problem you ask? Well, for one it was technical issues that made the biggest issues for me. POV at times was a bit confusing, plot direction...scattered. Characters were good and even interesting but this was a story about Frankie and Clay and I at times was more drawn to the villian in the piece. What made him tick? Although this is an important question readers should also be drawn to the main characters. For this reader that was not the case.
Ms. Sala has plenty of other efforts on her backlist (this is a re-issue) that are more worthy of her talent. Ms. Sala was just a bit off her game and since she has blown me away in the past...I was a little let down. Now...with that said, if you are new to this author and it is your first introduction you will find this a good read. I do recommend that you pick up a few other titles to see what she is truly capable of doing though if you are a fan of romantic suspense.

Rating: Summary: Sala Soars! Review: In "Remember Me", Ms. Sala gives us a complete, intriguing, and loving story. Francesca and Clay LaGrand simply soar as compelling characters. Several times while reading, I found myself clutching this smooth book to my chest and questioning, ".....would I, could I, be THAT strong if I lost two years of my life & all my loved ones thought I had been dead....and then to get everything back, I had to overcome a stranger, a horrifying stalker, could I do that?....". This is a fast paced read. Very well written for the genre. Rich, textural & moving. Read it & remember its lessons well. if you find my comments of interest, please click the "YES"--thanks--CDS
