Rating: Summary: Fastest & smallest language crash course ever Review: This Polish course is boiled down to ONLY the bare bones, which is exactly what I needed. You will never gain mastery of the language through this book, but it's a good start, and with a trip to Warsaw coming up very soon, all I had time for was something just this size. I didn't want to get a more comprehensive course and have to pick and choose myself what to learn, wading through more advanced grammar rules and such (which are just great when you have the time). There are two different native speakers on the tape, which I like (it gives you a range of acceptable pronuciation), but the first few times through it are irritating because it has such short pauses in which to repeat the phrase. It could also use the little glossary in the back that I am so used to. Still, I am very pleased with my little investment (little because it comes in a cardboard case and is printed on normal paper, unlike the more expensive courses in a fancy too-big plastic case and printed on unnecessary glossy photographic paper) and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you're in a hurry.
