Rating: Summary: Excellent summary of the upcoming 2000 problem. Review: "This book gave excellent facts and information in a way that anyone can read and understand. The information was specific, sobering and helpful. The insight into the Christian beliefs were well said and the information on lists of books, magazines and web sites gave you additional places to go for more information. I have ordered more copies to give to friends.
Rating: Summary: Excellent information without "scare tactics" . Review: "This book gave excellent facts and information in a way that anyone can read and understand. Rating: Summary: Please Read This Book Review: Grant R. Jeffrey does an excellent job explaining the Y2K crisis ! It is factual and well researched, with many suggestions on how to prepare and protect your family. Most important to me it provides spiritual encouragement and reminds us of God's love and provision. I am buying this book for every one of my family members and friends!
Rating: Summary: Not So Much As A LIght Bulb Burned Out Review: I don't recommend this book in the least. It is now 2004 and not only did no computers stop working as was written about in this book, but on the 29th of February, which was a leap year, they kept right on working like nobody's business. There are much more accurately written books out there.
Rating: Summary: lightbulbs Review: I strongly disagree with one of the reviewers. In it she claims that "not so much as a lightbulb" burned out on Y2K, when clearly this is a false statement!! I remember that a flourescent light in my kitchen burnt out on Y2K, thus proving that the end is near and that aforementioned reviewer will likely suffer the eternal hellfire (although God will make the final decision, of course).
Rating: Summary: A Christian approach to an unavoidable deadline. Review: If you're looking for a Christian perspective to the upcoming Y2K issue, then Grant Jeffrey's book is for you. Grant's indept knowledge of the "computer glitch" as well as end times makes for a perfect blend of insight and preparation steps to make the Year 2000 computer problem and consequent sociological changes more bearable. This book will inform the novice and equip the prepared for actual steps to take to help others and thus minister to them during the inevitable crisis.
Rating: Summary: Excellent survey of the problem, results and how to prepare. Review: This book explains the source of the Y2K problem; examines how government, industry, business and society will likely be affected; and considers the possibility of the fulfillment of certain Biblical prophecies concerning the end of the age. He then lists ways to prepare for the disruptions that will surely come. Jefferies' material is simalar to that found in Michael Hyatt's "The Millenium Bug: How to Survive the Coming Chaos" but he has included some more recent research, and discussion of the efforts being made to establish a one-world government and a cashless society. The two books together make a fairly complete assessment of the problem and action to be taken.

Rating: Summary: Excellent summary of the upcoming 2000 problem. Review: Very well researched. The first part of the book is an excellent source for people who want some quick info. The second part, however,is too speculative; the author talks about the chance of a world government taking over after the Y2K bug strikes and he doesn't give enough evidence to support his point. Overall, still a nice small book that EVERYBODY should read in order to know how to prepare before it's too late... It can be read in one 3 hour sitting.
