Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Black and White
Review: I saw the staging of this play well over ten years ago. The impression is still vivid. This two man production shows how half-brothers deal with life under Apartheid in South Africa. The key is one brother is "black" and the other is "white" thus the blood knot. To see and/ or read it is the only way to truly appreciate it. Together they live in squalor. The "black" brother works, the other stays at the shanty. The "white" brother tends to the needs of his brother when he comes home from work.

The clash of black and white comes into play when the plan is to have the "white" brother "go into the world" for the benefit of both. At this point, the racist world outside comes rushing in.
