Summary: Could anyone put it down once they started it?
Review: It has perfect blends of action and romance and suspense, and is filled with courtroom drama. Not only this, though- it contains one of the most truly horrifying violence scenes I ever came across. A MUST! *****!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: WARNING: DO NOT BEGIN UNLESS YOU CAN FINISH
Review: I picked this book up at 12 noon, and finished at midnight without putting it down, except for necessities. It is a story any man or woman will love, full of intrigue, interesting people, the cruelty and mystery of the Mafia, a beautiful and ambitious woman, and some sadness. A true winner.

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: Fantastic! Timeless! An Absolute Masterpiece!
Review: This book is simply amazing. I've read it several times over the years and no matter what else comes out and tops the charts, this one just stands with the best of them! Actually, this one may be the best of them. The story is so simple, so fluid that it seems effortless. I think that writers probably agonize and nearly kill themselves trying to write like Sheldon (and almost always fail).
The story opens with a young attorney (very likable) who, through bad luck, finds herself in dire straits. Maybe I feel such a rapport with her because I'm also young attorney who at one time was penniless in NYC. The story then twists and turns (Sheldon is truly a genius when it comes to suspense) through her life as she experiences tragedy after tragedy yet manages to get back on her feet.
The writing is straightforward and effective, the story is incredibly satisfying, and the pacing is perfect. The only downside to this book is that you have to put everything else on hold while you read it because you will not be able to put it down!
I also recommend If Tomorrow Comes and Rage of Angels.

Summary: Michael or Adam? Hmmm...
Review: Sidney Sheldon's Rage of Angels tells the story of beautiful Jennifer Parker, a rising young New York attorney who becomes involved with two very different men - Michael Morreti is a ruthless killer and Adam Warner is being groomed for the Presidency. We follow Jennifer for many years as she becomes a mother as well as a lawyer for the mafia, all the while finding true love is just beyond her reach.

Sheldon knows how to write breezy page-turners, and Rage of Angels is no exception. His characters are absorbing and the action never stops. Susannah York was not a good choice to read this story. Her upper class British accent sounded silly when she did the voices of low-life street hoodlums, and she read so quickly, I often had to rewind the tape and listen again. I give the story 5 stars and the audio cassette version 3 stars.

Summary: A bit dissapointed....
Review: Jennifer Parker has finally accomplished what she has worked her whole life for, being a lawyer. Her dreams come crashing down on her first day at trial and her first day on the job and she is now facing jail and disbarrment. The story that follows is of Jennifer overcoming obstacles and prevailing. I don't believe that as popular as she was that no one would have known about her son.

I was so dissapointed with the ending that I almost cried. It was the biggest letdown that I have had in a book and I have read some books that have bad endings. That is why I had to give this book three stars.
