Summary: The reason for the mistakes in the hero's name in S. Shadow
Review: After I had finished writing Savage Shadows and mailed the manuscript to my editor, she decided she wanted to change the name of my hero from Running Hawk to Night Hawk. She assured me that the change would be made throughout my book when it was put in print. The printer didn't make the changes required. In about 30 places in my book you will see that Night Hawk and Running Hawk is mentioned. This mistake was beyond my control

Summary: Very romantic, but....
Review: Granted, the mystery of the rapidly changing name, Night Hawk to Running Hawk and back to Night Hawk again was disconcerting, but I can forgive a few mistakes. Obviously, Ms. Edwards was toying with both names and forgot which one she ultimately chose for a few pages at first. On the whole, I thought the romance was believable, but at times I felt Running Hawk's expectations were all over the place. One minute he wants her to be happy with her real father, and wear nice clothes and take advantage of all the comforts money can offer, and convinces her of it even when she resists. And then later he condemns her for it and even was going to leave her behind when he decided to return to the Comanche because he felt she was TOO attached to money! I found that hard to stomach. But, when she almost gets killed by trying to follow him anyway, he realizes how foolish he was and they reunite. Still, this see-saw was a bit silly. I wanted to shake him more than one and yell, 'make up your mind, what do you want her to be!?' Still, ultimately, their romance was sweet and faithful, and I enjoyed it. A marginal thumbs up.

Summary: Author didn't know her story to well.
Review: HI! I recently read your book Savage Shadows and have to say its the worst print I've read. Someone must've kept forgetting the main dudes name. Is it Night Hawk or Running Hawk? I found alot of misprints or the author didn't plan to well. Also its like Cassie was in a hurry to start and finish her book because the beginning seemed rushed.I've read some of the series but this was the worst romance novel I've ever read. SORRY!!

Summary: not her best work
Review: I felt that Savage Shadows was one of Cassie Edwards worst books! Not only is it boring, but this whole name change thing just got on my nerves. I think Jae and Night (Running) Hawk get it on way too much and I think Edwards needed fillers. This book lacks action, if all I wanted was sex...I'd get a porno...sorry Cassie.

Summary: Not Cassie's Best
Review: Savage Shadow has a lot of problems with its story. (1) The heroine and hero fall in love too quickly. They meet, and BAM, love. Not very realistic. (2) I find it hard to believe that someone who was not raise by their "true father" would call them "Father" so quickly. (3) The characters did not stick with one conviction. There were too many stories running at once in their minds, and this hurt the main story. (4) The story is boring. I made myself finish this book.

Overall, I would not recommend this book to anyone just beginning to read Ms. Edwards. It's a big disappointment. Try "Winter Raven" instead.
