Rating: Summary: one of the best series Review: The Casca series was one of the best I have ever read. I have just started reading the first book for the third time.
Rating: Summary: Loved it Review: The first excellent book in an excellent series. Like any great work it seems to end too soon, especially in this case because of Mr. Sadler's premature death. He should live as long as his character Casca in order to keep writing these books. But we should also feel lucky he didn't die sooner, such as in 'Nam -- then there would have never been any Casca books. Unfortunately some of the later books in the series are uneven in quality, presumably owing to Sadler's deteriorating condition. He was certainly a great writing talent and great historian. Casca is my favorite fictional series.
Rating: Summary: a real marathon reading Review: The hours of pleasant reading it has given me is not something you'll find in any book. I did not only find it being interesting for the story, but aswell for the history lesson the books provide. I guess mr. Sadler would not have been able to finish the story anyway...since Casca was waiting for "the jew" to return. So putten in few well chosen words: I have never found better reading ever before. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!
Rating: Summary: Casca is an excellent series; and should be reprinted Review: The series captures your attention, no matter if he is depicted in our time, the twentirth century; or in his own, during the hight of the roman empire. His long life unfolds, a small slice in each book; his pleasures and his sorrows are described to us, as he waits for the return of the jew. I feel it deserves reprinting
Rating: Summary: Excellent, a must read Review: There's no doubt Barry Sadler had a real hit here when he first put pen to paper and created Casca, a character born out of a real man from the bible, and made him an immortal to travel through time forever fighting. I won't repeat the comments on other reviews, just look at the average star rating and judge for yourself. Brilliant, innovative, enthralling.

Rating: Summary: X-MERC SAYS BEST AUTHOR Review: These storys are the best being ex military and former team mate of the late great MR. sadler i recomend tis to anyone he was a great friend. ...stepchild
Rating: Summary: Lucky Buyer Review: This is an amazing series, I have been hunting for it for 5 years, ever since I was told about them in Australia by a friend. I was recently lucky enough to purchase the first 13 books for 36 dollars...and to think I wasnt going to go to the used book store that day! Casca: A MUST READ!
Rating: Summary: Move over Highlander - Casca is here! Review: This is epic stuff people. Just read them all and you will see the magic. The last few novels were written by a ghost writer because you can tell the quality isn't there and writing style is different. The early ones are the ultimate in high adventure and historical data. Put down that book and you will be sorry.
Rating: Summary: Casca, and the meaning of Life Review: This is one of the most thought provoking series that has ever been written. I am working on replacing my copies (hint to the publish, REPRINT) and have passed them to my minister. He admitted to finding the thought of Jesus giving a curse upsetting, but overall, the books he has read were impressive he thought. The very thought that eternal life as a torture was very intrieging he thought.I am glad that after 10 years, the series finally continues. Maybe we might even see a TV show or movie? There are more then enough storylines to make it work.
