Summary: THERE`S NO OTHER RATING POSSIBLE FOR THIS ONE !
Review: 5-stars ! This is the only rating possible for the best-ever Forsyth book! THe plot is incredible, the action well distributed, the characters full of passion and convictions (although today Ucrania is already free!)As an international thriller, it is perfect !

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A perfect Forsyth!
Review: A perfect Forsyth! One of his best. I'd like to recommend this book to anybody who likes Forsyth.

Summary: Excellanto!
Review: A superb and highly enjoyable book. The accurate prediction of the fall of USSR by the author is almost of Nostradamis like accuracy only much more clear! I however have a question for the author. Why could Mr. Drake not announce the murder of the KGB head himself when he had both the western powers and the Soviet Russia by the balls on board the Freya? I found his insistence of this announcement through Lazzareff and Mishkin rather hard to swallow.Any answers Mr. Foresyth?

Summary: Excellent !!
Review: A typical Forsyth novel, higly researched and meticulously planned. But the best part of the book was the last 10 lines. Great ending.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful story from the cold war.
Review: After reading this book I swore it actualy happened. I could imagine the place and events as if I saw them on the news. The president of the US has a chance to expliot a disaster in Russia, only to find out that there will be nuclear war within a year if he does anything. The chioces are horrifing and realistic and that only improves one of Forsyth's best.

Summary: Do not even glance at the last page first!
Review: An excellent book that holds a surprise even all the way to the last page. The plot, the characters and the descriptions are superb. However the "actual" Devil's Alternative didn't seem to me as devilish. If you start reading it and looks like the beginning of one of Tom Clancy's, don't quit reading, it takes its own route very quickly.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: wonderfull story , takes reader through range of emotions
Review: Another brilliant story, utterly believable worrying how accurate it is - may inspire real hijackers. The desire for the hijackers to succeed is only tempered by the overall wish for peace, the deceit involved hard to think that someone could actually be so perceptive in reality. Altogether a fantastic read, and again hard to stop once started.

Summary: Great Author, Great Story
Review: Another solid job by this author who I have always liked. This was another of his fast paced, easy to read stories with a good long story. I love the detail of the USSR government, you really feel like it in a non-fiction book at times. He has always used a lot of good factual details to make his books solid. Like the work of all good authors, you really grow to know the characters, like some and hate some - they have solid reasons for doing what they are doing in the book. There is a lot going on but the way he writes it you do not have any problems following the action. A great book that is well worth the time.

Summary: He is aptly called "The Master" ...
Review: Even if one is not a die hard fan of Forsyth's (which I happen to be) , there is no way this book can be put down. All the threads, seemingly so far apart , come together with frightening realism. Even so, he manages to provide the plot one huge twist within the last paragraph!! To sum up in one word - INCREDIBLE
