Order of Christian Funerals: Music Accompaniment for the Funeral Mass

Review: Since I am unlikely to have a hand in planning funeral liturgies for anyone outside my immediate circle of family and friends, I was somewhat embarrassed to order this two cassette set or to be seen with it once I received it. However, it soon became my favorite bedtime lullaby, reading/thinking accompaniment, pacifier, etc., and I was able to learn several well-known hymn melodies by name from it. My only complaints are that some of the selections don't include all the "changes" in some hymns (different melodies or keys for verses/refrains), and for anyone unfamiliar with the various Catholic liturgies, the different categories can be somewhat jarring. And the whole thing is too short! For those who are actively involved with planning funeral liturgies, I feel there is a wide enough selection of hymns and service music to keep your church musicians from ever having to hear the "every funeral and wedding seems just alike" complaint again!
