Summary: I'm very ,very,bored
Review: No, I didn't like the book. It had no action. It was unrealistic. Slake ran away, and nobody looked for him. He never talks, and he has a friend that is a rat? That doesn't make sense. Slake sells newspapers for food, he works really hard. I think that if he went home to his sort of Aunt that he would have a better life.

Summary: Slake's Limbo is a book for people who understand symbolizim
Review: Slake's Limbo goes deeper into a person's thoughts then you would imagine. You can almost feel the emotions Aremis Slake is feeling. You learn a lot about him and his bumpy life. I read it with a teacher and classmates but people who read it on their own should analyze it, this will give you the full meaning of the book. It is also interesting how the author weaves Willis Joe Whinny into the book with On Another Track. Willis Joe is an important part of Slake's life, even though they don't meet until the end of this incredible book. Felice Holman is a truly good author

Summary: Slakes Limbo
Review: Slakes Limbo is a book about a thirteen year old boy who lives by himself on the street. The kids he goes to school with are bigger than him and beat him up if they can catch him. One day while he was being chased he ran into the underground subway. He decides to stay down there and live for 121 days. While he is down in the subway, he finds a cave in the wall by one of the tracks. He makes that his home to sleep in every night. One day he saw people leaving their newspapers at the lunch court tables. He picked them up and smootheed them out. While he was holding the papers a man called to him to buy one. Slake was surprised but sold the man a paper. Then a couple more people bought papers too.Soon he had two regular costumers. With the money he made from newspapers he bought himself food at the court. with the extra papers he had he brought them into his cave and crumpled them up to make a bed. Every day he collected newspapers, sold them, and bought lunch. One day the lunch court manager asked him if he wanted to have a job sweeping the floor after all of the costumers left. In return he would get a full meal every day. With getting free meals he began to save up some money and bought himself a shirt and a couple pairs of socks. While Slake is down in the subway he has the happiest time of his life.
Slakes Limbo was a good book about survival and it was interesting on how he made money. He also made a good use of some unusual things that he collected in the subway.I would reccommend this book to anyone who likes a survival story.

Summary: A book about a young man who doesn't feel he belongs
Review: The book that I have just read, "Slake's Limbo" was one of the best books that I have read all year. Its a story about a boy named Slake and how feels he doesn't belong so he just goes somewhere where he can just be "alone". So if you want a book that you can read all the way with out putting it down, I insist that you take this book out. Not only is it a good book, but it is a touching story as well. I am sure that anyone would enjoy it.

Summary: An interesting book about a homeless teenager.
Review: The novel Slake's Limbo by Felice Holman is a good one. It is about a 13-year-old boy and his experience as a homeless person. He is homeless because he ran away from a relative who was caring for him. The story covers everything from Slake finding shelter through him finding a source of income. It even involves Slake trying to find companionship. You could never guess what Slake gets for a companion. The ending might not be satisfactory for readers who like to know exactly what happens to the main character. I did not find that to be a problem. As I see it, the theme of this story is if you are a decent person, someone will care for you. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about characters who live a hard life.

Summary: Get a Frappachino Instead
Review: This book by Felice Holman has no direct plot, besides riding the subway and seling newspapers that is. Because there was no action that caught your eye, it is very easy to put down. Even so, some people may want to relax and pretend to be Slake, riding through the subway. Not very adventurous, but if you're the type, read the book. If not, go get a Frappachino, it's much better for your money.

Summary: AGGGGGG!
Review: This so called book called book Slakes Limbo, was one of the most terrible book in this world! I was forced to read this "book" for school and it was the worst experience in my life! THE MEMORIES!!!!!!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Not a good book. Arrrggh.....
Review: To me Slakes Limbo didn't appeal to me. What's up with the rat? Where is he at the end of the book? I still don't know the answers to these questions. The book didn't develop any unique taste. The same happenings usually occured everyday. Slake is an interesting person but because you don't really know anything about him. I my mind I think Slake is a tiny boy that sells newspapers to his friend a Cleaning lady and a man with a turban. His best friends a rat and he has a job sweeping at a Diner. What does that tell you about Slake, that he likes rats. Well tell if you figure out why Slake dreams about pigs and birds and his best friend is a subway rat.
