Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A rare gem!
Review: This is one of my very favorite picture books, as it is equally enjoyable for children and adults. This treasure of a book is aesthetically pleasing to both eyes and ears, and its message sweet, imaginative, and meaningful. The paintings are richly colorful and simply beautiful, and the text is lyrical and soothing. It's a perfect bedtime story that begs reading again and again and again.

Summary: This daddy and mom-mom's favorite (and the kids like it too)
Review: This perfect bedtime book is utterly charming. The colorful, impressionist-like artwork is terrific -- full of familiar animals and objects that the little readers can find and point out. The text is nearly poetic as it moves deftly from the real world to the world of imagination, and inexorably, toward sleep and dreams. Our son and daughter (21 months and six months old respectively) both love it. A must have for all parents who make reading to small children a bedtime ritual.
