Summary: WARNING: IF YOU ARE A WRITER WITH A DEADLINE
Review: DON'T READ THIS BOOK! YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN UNTIL YOU'VE READ THE FINAL WORD.

As a writer and a reader I am always in search of a 'good read'. Well "Please, Please Please" fits the bill.

The book I am working on was forgotten and I could not even think about working on it until I finished this book.

I was reluctant to pick this book up, based on some of the reviews I had seen but I am so glad my curiosity got the best of me. So much more than what I thought, Ms. Swindle held me hostage (and that's a good thing) and did not let me go until the last word.

A difficult feat, Ms. Swindle made Babysister both real and likeable despite her somewhat trifling ways. You felt the redemption and had no doubt it had arrived for this initially troubled sister.

My hats off to you Ms. Swindle and I am so looking forward to more. Now I know when I'm under deadline I can't start your books, because I won't be able to put your book down to work on mine.

Congrad's!

Summary: Great start out of the gate...
Review: This book was a good read. You will be caught up in wanting to know what happens to these people. I feel that the conclusion was on point. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Summary: Watch out Terry!
Review: After first page only readings of the flood of contemporary black novels. Finally someone was witty and honest enough to grab my attention and hold it. The characters, each of them, are people we all know - right down to that devil Darren and his insipid wife Deborah. Swindle delivers Babysister with such honesty and wit that her shortcomings are forgivable. Swindle's style is clear, sharp and laugh out loud funny. Initially the cover photo betrays the quality of the book but all's forgotten after page two where substance outweighs style. I bed down at ten - Babysister kept me reading 'til 2 a.m. !

Summary: Page Turner
Review: I found this book hard to put down. Babysitter the main character is so manipulative, and a true show stopper that you have to just give her props for being such a diva. This book demonstrates how being selfish will get you no where.

Summary: Baby sister gives Best Friend a bad name.
Review: Renee, your first novel is a hit. Babysister received exactly what she deserves. Darren, is a boot wearing trashy dog. I was glad when Deborah realized what a waste of time Darren was as kicked him out. I'm looking for a sequel. Be Blessed!

Summary: The writer captured the sad but true reality of love.
Review: The writer did an excellent job of capturing the essence and reality of what oftentimes happens in relationships. She was extremely skillful in capturing it from an African American perspective. However, the main theme of the book transcends all racial lines.

Renee Swindle is a good writer, and I believe that she will make her mark in the literary world as more of her books are published. I can't wait for her next novel. Kudos!

Summary: Very Entertaining
Review: This is one book that I really didn't want to put down even when I had to go back to work. At times, I wanted to strangle Babysister, but then she grew on me. She was just a misguided spoiled brat, who thought she was suppose to get everything she wanted, including her best friend's man. Babysister learns a valued lesson and grows up fast. Keep writing Renee. You rock, girl.

Summary: Good book
Review: My question is.....where did the name Babysister come from or should I say WHY the name Babysister....The book was good and Babysister was a brat and got what she deserved. Her bother was out of control also.....

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very good, looking for a sequel.......
Review: I enjoyed this book very much, it's not usual that I read a book in less than 24 hours, but I did with this one. Babysister, (and I'm still trying to figure out why someone named her that)was one evil, self centered, horrible person, and I thought she got everything she deserved! It is an unspoken and un-written rule that you DO NOT go after your sisters or GIRLfriends boyfriends!! No matter how horrible you think they are for her. Malcolm (who was Baby's brother) was pathetic. I hated him too. I know some men can be babies, but he took the BABYcake! Darren is every woman's nightmare. Come in all smooth and stuff, just to punch a hole in your chest, rip out your heart, throw it down and stomp on it. I loved this book and I look forward to future works by Renee. You go girl!

Summary: Excellent book!!!
Review: Renee Swindle you go girl!!! At first I thought oh no here we go again!! I was so wrong and I really enjoyed the book. Babysister was definitely not a sister I would want around!!! I really look forward to Ms. Swindle's next book.
