Rating: Summary: A good beginning with room to grow as an author Review: A good beginning for a first time writer. With room to grow there's much potential for further talent development.
Rating: Summary: You write simple and direct. It's hard to put the book down Review: I went to my doctor's appt. today and took your book with me. The doctor loved your smile on the jacket and said you should put your face on the front of your books. I feel that I can relate to most of the female characters in your book which makes it realistic for me and good reading.
Rating: Summary: An exceptionally good first effort. Review: I really enjoyed Renee Swindle's book. It was so like the self-centered "instant gratification" mentality that surrounds us today. I laughed aloud at some of Babysister's antics;she worked so hard to be so bad, but was very pleased when, at the end, she showed her readers that she was not fooling anyone but herself. Very good book.
Rating: Summary: Babysister was too much Review: I thought the book was very well written and the Characters were so real I really enjoyed the book and I look forward to reading the next one.Renee you are great and I look forward to meeting you in DC later this month.
Rating: Summary: Puh-leeze Review: I had a problem with Babysister, the main character. She's a coniving, low down, backstabbing, self centered, spoiled, egotistical female. This is not to say that I didn't like the storyline, because I did. It was pretty fresh, Swindle went to some places that other authors dare not go. She gave Babysister a boldness that we all know truly exists. Makes you want to say,"Puh-leeze".
Rating: Summary: Please Please Please- Don't Pass on this One !! Review: So much has been said about this story ! I can only add this ! Do not let this one pass you by ! This is a MRS ( Must Read Story ) with out a doubt ! I was so captivatived while reading it ! It is a story that you wonder if Babysitter will every catch on to Darren ! I did not trust him and he prove to me he was not the man I thought he was ! I only wished Deborah had learned this from the begining ! Even thought Babysitter was so spoiled she got just what she deserved !! I must admit I did feel sorry for her in the end and I was so glad she finally let go even though it hurt so bad !!
Rating: Summary: A very good first novel for Renee Swindle!! Review: I thought that the book was great, entertaining, and valuable reading and a great first novel for the author, Renee Swindle (an alumnus of UC Irvine just like myself). I believe that everyone has had to learn a painful lesson in life when it comes to relationships, and this book certainly stands out as a must read. Looking forward to Renee's next novel!!
Rating: Summary: Light, fun, reading for the summer Review: Babysister will have you fussing, yelling laughing and thinking oh you poor thing. She is evil, she is spoiled but I am sure she knows better and at times she has a conscious. Now Darren is just pathetic. Malcolm has some serious issues he needs to work throught. These are just a few of the characters that make up Please Please Please. I thought this book was fun to read. I think as a first time novelist the author did a good job.
Rating: Summary: Please,Please,Please was a captivating page turner! Review: Babysister had the nerve to act on thoughts many of us sistuhs only dream of. Although she turned out to be a back stabbing ....We've all encountered her type in some circle of our daily lives? I enjoyed this easy read and I'm recommending it to many of my sistuh friends. Renee has a true gift and I look forward to reading her next novel.
Rating: Summary: Cliff Notes have been better.... Review: If you're looking for a "light" read, then you may enjoy this book; however, be warned....it severly lacks depth.
