Summary: Gripping
Review: This book handed to me by my pastor. I thought, I'm not interested.

It probably ranks with my 5 best books ever. And I really read a lot. I couldn't put it down. The people are alive and I never wanted it to end.

Summary: One of the best I've ever read.
Review: This is an absolutely wonderful book! I absolutely devoured every page. Unlike the book I'm reading now (All Together in One Place), it caught my attention early on and held it. Lately I've enjoyed about a dozen books on frontier/pioneer life and this is the best hands-down! Its one of the best books I've ever read and I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys reading. As with other readers, I found it hard to put down. Can't wait to read it again.

Summary: Loved It!
Review: My dear cousin gave this to me while I was driving cross country, and all I can say is, "I loved it! " How it all seemed so real to me! The female lead was a strong woman who I admired. A definate read!

Summary: TRANSPORTS YOU BACK IN TIME VIA COVERED WAGON
Review: This is a book that I would never have picked out on my own but I'm so thankful that it was recommended to me by a poster on one of the book boards. Just the cover alone makes the purchase worthwhile. I especially liked the way Nancy Turner wrote this book in the form of a diary which is written over the course of 20 years. The two main characters, Sarah Prine and Captain Jack Elliott, are larger than life. She's smart, great with a gun and stubborn. He's ornery, romantic and loves her more than life itself. What a match and what a book. I recently recommended this to my book group and they've been raving about it ever since. My only disappointment is that I had to finish it.

Summary: Could not put it down
Review: I first read an abridged excerpt of this book in a woman's magazine and fell in love with it. I checked my library weekly, anxiously awaiting the book's appearance. When it finally appeared on their catalog, I still had to wait a month for those who had beat me to the 'hold' list to finish the book. It was so worth the wait! Historical fiction is my favorite genre. Like "My Antonia" and "Pride and Prejudice," this book is on my read again and again list.

Summary: Sarah Prine Elliott will make you want to be a better woman!
Review: This is a woman you can only admire. Sarah's character is so strong and directed. Yet, she is filled with the self-doubt and imperfections we all carry within ourselves. The 20 year journey you take through her eyes as she overcomes her inner worries and confusions is amazing. It makes you believe that we all carry the responsibility to be the people we wish to be in our lives . . . in spite of ourselves and the difficulties we face. The love she shares with Jack is enviable, yet at the same time, it is what it is because they make it so. I will always remember Sarah. Her life, her losses and her love. It is the best book I have read in years. To those who have not yet enjoyed it, what are you waiting for?

Summary: What a Wonderful, Fast Read
Review: This was without a doubt one of the best books I've read lately. It makes you realize what a hardship the settlers of the West went through. Sarah Prine, the voice in which the story is told, survived this time better than one would think possible. Read this book, you'll never regret it.

Summary: Truly a draw-you-in-and-keep-you-spellbound saga!
Review: Okay, I've had to admit that, much as I might like to kid myself, I'm no Sarah Prine. What a brave, wonderful, hard-working woman. This is the kind of book that you read, then pass on to someone who will also appreciate the beautifully drawn characters along with the historical flavor and details of day to day frontier life. A real gem.

Summary: These Is My Words
Review: These is My Words is my most favorite book, out of hundreds I've read. Not only an excellent story, but filled with excitement, pathos, and left me with an admiration for pioneer women.

Summary: This book is Amazing!
Review: This book was so good! I could not put it down! The love story is wonderful between them and you can learn alot of history from this book. I cried so much at the end. I really didn't want this book to end!

If you like this book try "Into the Wilderness" by Sara Donati
