Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down! Review: What an enjoyable read. I'm a huge fan of Sandra Dallas and now Nancy Turner. She painted a clear picture of pioneering life, the happiness, grief, and everyday trials that people in the territories faced. I laughed and cried. I would recommend this book to anyone and have. If you liked The Diary of Mattie Spenser and The Amazing and All True Adventures of Liddie Newton, you will absolutely love this book.
Rating: Summary: A captivating story Review: These is My Words touched me with its sweet simplicity. The only book I can compare it to is "My Antonia" by Willa Cather, an American Classic. Anyone who reads Nancy Turner's book will never forget it, and I sincerely hope that she will be writing more books in future. From an Australian reader.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding---a classic! Review: After reading the reviews posted here and elsewhere, I had to get a copy of this book. I wasn't disappointed. This is what historical fiction ought to be. The characters are believable and the narrative is fast-moving. I just finished it and already want to reread it. For those who think Jack is like Clark Gable, think again----he reminds me of Sam Elliott in all those Louis L'Amour movies. Perfect, compelling reading. I look forward to more from Ms. Turner.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down !!!! Review: I will continue to browse my favorite bookstore and watch the internet to see if Nancy Turner writes another book such as this. I would love to see a sequel! Super reading...I have reccommended it to many people.
Rating: Summary: Unforgettable Review: This was one of the best books I've read in years. The heroine is a perfect mix of courage and intellectual curiosity. She's easy to root for. The hero appreciates her unique charms and pursues her until she realizes her true feelings. The plotline is fast and furious, with a very realistic portrayal of the era. Not for those who like lighthearted love and laughter - a lot of characters die, including several that are very close to the hero and heroine. But you will laugh occasionally and cry unashamedly at the ending. Can't wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve!
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I have ever read. Review: I was totally captivated by this book from the first few pages to the very end. The characters are so completely believable, so real, their lives woven together in a wild and marvelous fabric of historical fiction, they will stay with me forever. Lonesome Dove meets Gone With the Wind. This would be a good choice for Oprah's book club. There is something in it for everyone.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've ever read. Review: Ms. Turner's characters stay with you long after you finish the book. I hope that Ms. Turner will be forthcoming in more novels.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books I've ever read. Review: This book will stay with me for a long time, the characters were so vivid and I fell in love with Sarah and Jack. Hopefully, Ms. Turner will produce more novels of the same quality.
Rating: Summary: Second to none Review: The best book I have read in a long time. You could never put it down because there was always excitement on the next page. I have given this book to my whole family and everyone has loved it. It is definately a keeper!
Rating: Summary: Marvelous Review: One of the best books I've read in years. I couldn't wait to post a review, only to find so many readers had already done so. I can only add my voice to theirs.
