Summary: A Very Outstanding Story
Review: Marti sets out to find the murderer of her dear friend. While everyone was led to believe that he committed suicide, Marti knows this is not true. With only the support of an officer, Marti is desperate to find the killer before he strikes again. An outstanding, bone-chilling suspense. Joan Lowery Nixon has done it again.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Great Book by a Great Author
Review: Ms. Nixon kept me reading all during school and up into the night with this one! The story strats out with Marti, who second guesses the police and everyone who believes that her best frined, Barry, had killed himself. Th only person who will believe her, however, is a young police woman by the name of Officer Karen Prescott. They uncover clues with the odds against them, and finally bring justice to the one that caused so much pain into everyone's lives. If you have the chance to read this book, then by all means, READ IT!

Summary: A fantastic book for all of those who love suspence!
Review: Secret, Silent Screams has got to be one of the bests books I've ever read. It's about a girl who wants desperatly to be heard when no one will listen. A police officer is the only person who listens to the girl, Marti, and trys to help her with her struggle to find the murderer of a young man, Barry. Each chapter makes you want to read the next. I could NOT but this book down!

Review: SECRET, SILENT SCREAMS is like the teen thriller equivalent of the early 80s dance movie FOOTLOOSE with Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow, who plays a clergyman obsessed with rock music and how evil it is. Well, the same clergyman shows up in this book, impeding Marti Lewis' investigation into the suicide of her great friend, Barry Logan. Only one woman will listen to Marti's suspicions that Barry's death is really a murder.

That woman is Karen Prescott, a policewoman with reasons of her own for listening to the young (high school senior) troubled woman, Marti, a girl who is beginning to think that maybe she's crazy, maybe Barry was secretly suicidal and she just didn't know it. Together, Karen and Marti form a feminist bond that allows them to rescue the memory of Marti's slain friend. Violent and kinky, SECRET, SILENT SCREAMS will scare you half to death before releasing you into a pool of ectoplasm on the floor. Add a star if you live in Texas and you like rock music of the 1980s.

Summary: THE SAME!
Review: This book is the same as all of her other books but with differnt caractor names! Example:this book has the same plot as another of Nixon's books titled 'The Stalker'. Their the same, if she could plagerize her-self she did!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A well told tale
Review: This book like all of Joan Lowery Nixon's books was a thriller. Although, I believe that this wasn't one of her best books. The ending , which I am not going to tell, is dissapointing. The suspense builds until the ending of the book, and all of a sudden THATS IT the books over. I feel that she needed more detal in this book in the manner that she needed feelings, character description, and plot description. Over all , this book was better then worse, it had some good suspense parts, and great characters. The plot was also so-so.

Summary: outstanding,wonderful, book
Review: this book was outstanding I have never read a book like it. when i started to read it, it was interesting right from the start. it is really neat how a friend would stick up for one who has been accused of suicide. she doesn't believe that a friend who looked forward to life would kill himself. and to tell you the truth i don't think he would have done it either. i think the officer was really putting her heart into what she was trying to do for Marti. its really bad how she was called crazy and everyone didn't believe her and said she was in denial.i think was but she knew the truth. I theink this book was really good about trying to get everyone aware of the the warning signs of suicide. i think Marti is a real hero by finding out who killed her friend and stopping many more deaths from accuring.i would reccomend this book to anyone who likes mysteries even the slighest bit.
