Summary: You Thought They Were Extinct?!?
Review: This book is about a boy named Zach and a girl named Uta. Zach's dad is a paleontologist and he discovers an egg. A giant raptor comes after him and he gets caught up in a rockslide. He tells Zach to go find his raptor egg. Zach and Uta find his egg and bring it back to his house. It finally hatches. Later the mama raptor comes and destroys Zach's house and takes the baby raptor. Zach loved the baby dino that he went back into Silver Mountain and looks for the raptor. He discovers that there is a whole herd of raptors. He finds the head raptor, but it is twice the size of the normal raptors. ...I think this is a great book that's why I gave it 5 stars.

Summary: Barney's Vicious Relatives!
Review: This book was a non-stop roller coaster of a thrill ride! It follows young Zack & his native friend Uta as they try to "rescue" a baby raptor, "Honker", who has been "captured" by his mother & brought to the caverns where the dinos live on.All the while an evil paleontologist tries to capture some of the live dinos in an attempt to become world-famous. But he hasn't seen Blackback, a super-evolved Velociraptor with claws & teeth & horns & talons galore!

*please note that this book does contain a heavy amount of gore!

Summary: Gory But Good!
Review: This book was very cool but also very gory. If you like raptors eating peoples heads and destroying houses you'll absoulutly adore this book! This book is basically about a boy who finds a huge egg and takes it home. The egg hatches and it turns out it was a raptor egg. The mother raptor comes and wants her baby back so she rips through the door and starts chasing them all over the house. Anyway, there's this evil palentologist who wants to capture a raptor to become famous and will do anything, however diabolical, to get one. This book is really blood-curdlingly, bone-chillingly scary, so I wouldn't recommend it for kids that are prone to having nightmares. I was looking for a really, really good book and I found it ( and it's hard to impress me when it comes to books.) I am very much looking forward to reading Paul Zindel's other books 'Reef of Death' and 'Loch'!

Summary: An Edge-Of-Your-Seat Action/Adventure
Review: This is an awesome book about a herd of mutant raptors who survive through the milleniums to present day. Professor Norak, a paleontologist, is off-duty when he stumbles upon a cave and its strange, yet familiar-looking, inhabitants, raptors. After a cave-in, Professor Norak is sent to the hospital. His son, Zack, goes off in search of the legendary dinosaur with his friend, Uta. With a touch of gore, large print, and the suspense, you'll probably finish this book in a matter of days because it keeps you turning page after page.

Summary: Raptor
Review: This is by far my favorite book written by Zindel. Mainly because I have a fascination with dinosaurs. I thought that there was a constant supply of action and you will find it challenging to put the book down. I think it is well worth the few hours it might take to read. Anybody who does not read this book will be greatly missing out. The action starts off right away when the Raptor attacks Zach's father. There is never a dull moment. This is an awesome book!!

Summary: Raptors are on the lose!
Review: This is the second book I have read of Paul Zindel. I like this book a lot because it has good science fiction and gore. Zack's father is a preson who studies dinosaurs and one day is injured in a rock slide. Zack and his friend Uta, decide to go back in the cave and see what caused the rockslide. They find out that the cave is home to raptors that are supposed to be extinct. They encounter mutant wolves and a unusually looking raptor. i liked the parts with when the raptors killed Eric and when Zack and Uta confront the mutant wolves. This is one of Paul Zindel's best books.

Summary: A thrilling adventure story.
Review: Zack joins his father on a dinosaur dig in Utah. His father was injured by a mysterious, unknown creature. Zack makes a new friend, a Native American girl named Ute. As they investigate the nearby mountains, they come to a horrifying conclusion: Sheltered in the mountains, a band of raptors may have escaped extinction. And they're about to be revealed. I highly reccomend this novel to fans of thrillers.
