Rating: Summary: A Book That Will Get You Thinking and Keep You Thinking Review: Weasel is a wonderful book--lots of complex characters in a tense but believable situation. It's an adventure story, but it gives no easy answers. Thought-provoking because readers will find themselves caught up in the story, wondering how the characters will survive (or even IF the characters will survive); but--more importantly--readers will wonder how THEY would react in such a situation. DeFelice doesn't flinch from strong emotion, so that the story will end up haunting you.

Rating: Summary: This is a great action-packed thriller. Review: Weasel was a very intense book. It takes place in a little town in Ohio around 1839. The main character, Nathan Fowler, is about 13 years old and his sister, Molly, is about 9 years old. Their Pa went out hunting for a couple of days and hadn't come back. Nathan and Molly were starting to worry, for they know there was a mean villain in the woods where Pa is hunting. His name is Weasel. The government hired Weasel to drive off all the Indians. Now, since all the Indians are gone, Weasel has turned on the settlers. One night a man comes to the Fowler's door and asked Nathan and Molly to follow him. They only go because they think he knows where Pa is. The man takes them to his home, where Pa is lying on the bed and his leg has been stitched together. They find out that the Indian who came to their door is named Ezra. Ezra couldn't talk because Weasel had cut off his tongue, so he knows how dangerous Weasel can be. Ezra had found Pa lying on the ground after Weasel had stolen his gun, captured him and left him there for dead. Nathan then goes back home to feed the animals. Once he got there, he realizes that all the animals were either dead or gone. Nathan suspects Weasel, since he is known for killing and stealing. On his way back to Ezra's house, where Pa is, Weasel captures him! This book is a great one for those who love action-packed thrillers and non-stop action. When I checked this I thought it would be horrible but once I read it I thought it was one of the best books ever.
