Summary: Great Beach Book
Review: This book is a light and fun read. I would definetly reccommend that you read it on the beach this summer. It is basically, a romance novel with funny and offbeat characters. By reading this book I did learn a little bit about the country music industry. Heck, I even started listening to country music!

Summary: My First and last book by Lavyrle Spencer
Review: This book was given to me almost two years ago. It wasn't until yesterday that i actually finished it. Lavyrle Spencer has her own way of writing that i just couldn't relate to very well. The story of Tess and her mom, is kind of cute, but as soon as Kenny got into the picture, i could pretty much guess what was gonna happen. I loved the Casey caracter, she sounds very genuine and i can tell she's full of sunshine. Her sister Judy is one of those jealous persons who can never be happy for other people or even for herself. The story develops kind of slow, and i figured everything out right away, there was no drama or anything that would force me read the book quickly so i would know what happened. I was dissapointed but entertained. I'm glad someone gave me the book, instead of me actually having to pay for it. The story could have been a lot better in my opinion.

Summary: Excellent, couldn't put down until finished.
Review: This book was the best book I have read in a long while. It kept my interest, I felt like I was inside the novel myself. I just knew that somehow the two would end up together.

The fact that a celebrity saw that simple was sometimes better than fancy. I felt like she realized that the simple things in life are sometimes much better than what all the money in the world can buy.

I'll never be able to pass up another one of LaVyrle Spencer novels again. I've already been to the library looking for more of her books to read.

Summary: Romance, romance, romance
Review: This book was wonderful! I enjoyed it so much I didn't put it down until I was down - seriously! This story is so real it draws you in and keeps you the whole way through! Lavyrle Spencer is by far one of the greatest romantic writers.

Summary: Country music lovers..this one's for you!
Review: This is the first Spencer book that I have read. Just for the record, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!! It's a must read for all Country Music lovers. You'll definitely get caught up in Tess' world of Country Music fame. The characters all real, fun and believable. Anyone can relate to Tess' attraction to Kenny and his daughter Casey. As someone who married the guy from school, that she was never attracted to growing up, Kenny and Tess' story was right on! I'm a Spencer fan for life!

Summary: Finding Love in the most unlikely places
Review: This is the second book I have read by Mrs. Spencer and all I can say is WOW!! I loved the characters and how they seemed very real. Just like people I would know. The relationship with Tess and Kenny was so wonderful. I loved the fact that they had such a rocky history and how they grew from that. This is a great book for anyone who has fallen in love in the most unlikely places. Also a must read for anyone who has a dream.

Summary: One of Spencer's better efforts
Review: This novel is one of the best La Vyrle Spencer has written in a while. Unlike some of her heroines, Tess Mac Phail is truly a likable person. True, she acted a bit snotty in the book's beginning, but that behavior soon ended as her character developed. The best written characters were Tess's mother ,Mary, and Kenny's soon-to-be ex- girlfriend, Faith. Spencer does an excellent job describing the obsessions of these characters (who are perhaps too detail oriented for their own good). I would have liked it better if Faith had been meaner, though--she doesn't deserve the treatment she got from Kenny. The story begins to fall apart after Tess returns to Nashville with Kenny's daughter in tow. There is literally no conflict from that point on--just a cut and dry happy ending and some details about country music hangouts. A few more plot twist would have turned this pleasant book into a truly great one. Still, it's a fun read.

Summary: Heart-warming & Nostalgic!! A Very Good Read!
Review: This should definetely be rated among Ms. Spencer's best. The main character (Tess McPhail) was portrayed as fresh & funky country music superstar that is forced to take time out from her very busy schedule to go back home and take care of her ailing mother. What she bargained for is a boring stay in the too-small town and painful reminders of her less than grand past. Tess eventually becomes entangled in a heart-warming adventure into the many stages of love and gains the wisdom to realize that there is much, much more to be gained in the giving then she ever thought she'd lose. Country music fans will adore this glimpse into the life of a star. Especially delightful are the backstage views of Nashville and the lonely road to stardom. This is a story that will leave you wanting more, as every LaVyrle Spencer novel does.
