Rating: Summary: Conservative female banker Review: I loved this book. As a conservative, female, mother of 2, banker, I enjoyed getting lost in this story. The technology is something else. You can either read it word for word and learn a lot, or you can skip some of the technology and not miss a beat. Best of all, if you e-mail DiMercurio, he will respond. This is an excellent book. I look forward to reading his others.
Rating: Summary: Page turning plot, fast moving techno thriller! Review: I've been a Dimercurio fan since I read "Barracuda, Final Bearing." Love his stuff and this one, his latest, did not let me down. Plausible, highly realistic plot and characters. Interesting twists with the characters but doesn't leave the track. I've always loved Clancy's stuff but this guy is AS good if not BETTER than the ol' master. New ideas, far enough in the future but not too far. You'll identify with a lot of his technology ideas: writepad computers, virtual reality, the whole package has kept me up the last couple of nights turning pages. Warning: if you read this book you'll want all of his others...so be prepared. Trust me, "Threat Vector" will not let you down if you like solid, "hard" techno-fiction - the kind that can actually happen - Mike writes it and writes it very well indeed.
Rating: Summary: EXCITING Review: I've been a fan of Michael since his first novel wasreleased. His new novel Threat Vector is the best I've read read sofar and he's getting better as each novel goes by. His grasp of the weaponary in the novel ia outstanding. You will never be able to put the book down when you start on the 1st page.
Rating: Summary: It doesn't get better than this... Review: I've been a fan of Mr. DiMercurio's since Phoenix Sub Zero. However, I think he's had stronger plots and better motivated characters in his earlier work. Still, if you like this genre, I am your kindred spirit. I couldn't swallow the plot or character motivations, but I still enjoyed his style, which I think is much matured since his earlier days. Less technobabble, better descriptions of people and how they act, and always the brilliant DiMercurio technical creativity. Despite the shortcomings of this book, I still consider myself a DiMercurio fan. I am waiting for him to put the strenghts he's been developing as a writer together with an ironclad plot - then we will have some of the best adventure fiction ever from him.

Rating: Summary: "Run Silent, Run Deep" Review: If you've been to sea or dreamed of going to sea, "Threat Vector" will keep you spellbound and keep your imagination in overdrive. Hasn't happened to me since "Blind Man's Bluff" I could almost visualize the characters as well as the action beneath the surface, right down to the position of the sub near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. White Hats & "C" Caps off to DiMercurio for a suspense filled Sea Story of valiant Submariners in life & death situations, protecting our civilian safety and National Security. Never a boring moment! Eagerly awaiting the new release!
Rating: Summary: It Never Stops Review: Just another brilliant piece of literature from DiMercurio. There is no way to overrate his work, whether from a technical viewpoint or from a gripping, plot-twisting analysis. If you don't read this, you are missing a truly great opportunity.
Rating: Summary: threat vector Review: JUST AS ALL OF MICHAEL DIMERCURIO'S PREVIOUS BOOKS HE HAS DONE IT AGAIN A REAL THRILLER IT MAKE'S A SURFACE SAILOR WISH HE WAS IN THE SUBMARINES,IF I ONLY HAD IT TO DO ALL OVER THAT IS WERE I WOULD HAVE BEEN...KEEP THEM COMUNG MIKEY!
Rating: Summary: To Read Over and Over Again Review: Michael DiMercurio hardly needs another review, having already received so many good ones. However, I must say THREAT VECTOR, and his other books, are not just thrillers to read once and then put away or trade to someone. His books, in addition to being good reads, are worthy of being read over and over again because there is so much information in them. Yes, the plots are good and, yes, the characters are excellent, but for this reader the beauty of them is in the information about submarines, submarine command, leadership and - for want of a better phrase - international politics. THREAT VECTOR, especially, cannot be beat when it comes to a plot of international intrigue that makes you wonder how in the world the author is going to get out of the corner he's painted himself into. In addition, DiMercurio has done one more thing for me: he has made me understand chemistry in a way I never could before. How? By describing, in minute and horrible detail, what happens when a weapon hits its target.
Rating: Summary: Threat Vector - Another DiMercurio Hit! Review: Michael DiMercurio has done it once again with his latest novel Threat Vector. As always, he does a masterful job of telling a gripping plot line and describing action scenes in marvelous detail. His prior experiences in Navy submarines really shine through in all of his novels with his realistic depiction of every detail and thought the characters encounter. He finds a way in each story to keep the same characters interesting and introduce new ones, and Threat Vector is no exception. It's a must read for any naval fiction fan. I can't wait for the next one in the series!
