Rating: Summary: An exciting page-turner that keeps you wanting more. Review: Death With Honors is the best installation of the Knight and Day series yet. The characters are superb; you can really feel the bond that Jerry and Jane have for each other. The inclusion of A.L. is a great part of the book, as you are able to feel how the other side of DC actually lives. The best part of the work is that it keeps you wanting to read more and more. Unlike most mysteries, this story line keeps you going and the ending is very unpredictable. For those of you who enjoy inside-the-beltway stories, Nessen and Neuman capture the essence perfectly. While a lot of books are set in DC, Nessen and Neuman are the most realistic. You can actually visualize the action taking place in your head as their depiction of DC is vivid and extremely accurate. It was a joy to read this book, and I am definitely looking forward to another.
Rating: Summary: Fast plot, sharp insight, unforgettable characters. Review: Forget your taxes, kids, laundry, dog. Treat yourself to Nessen and Neuman's "Death with Honors"---a great getaway read. Those unlikely lovers--hard-working liberal journalist Jane Day and obnoxious conservative talk-host Jerry Knight---are at it again, racing to solve a murder at the Kennedy Center along with cynical cop Abraham Lincoln Jones. Their quest combines sex, squalor, Washington politics, Hollywood glitz, and six brands of hypocricy with the long shadow of McCarthyism and the passions of the heart. In this third Knight & Day outing the authors know their media-crossed couple better than ever. It shows. A terrific read.
