Summary: Interesting but very dry
Review: This book was ok. There are better/more exciting books on SEALs. This book did give me a new respect for what the SEALs are capable of and is good at showing how the military beauracracy needs to be reformed. The problem I had with this book is it got boring at times. If you interested in the subject I would check this out, but along with others.

Summary: Nice
Review: This is a very good book about the life of navy seals and Robert Grmly. He talks about his time in Name, Grenada, and when he took contrlo of Seal Team 6. Great book for anybody wanting to know the life of a seal and the struggle, and tears. 5 stars and if you think other then you have got to be crazy.

Summary: A real book by a real operator
Review: Those who are not operators live off the reputation of those who are. Bob Gormly was an operator and performed in the highest tradition of Naval Special Warfare. Not only was Captain Gormly a damned fine operator and Teammate to his troops, but as an officer he looked to the future of the Teams, unlike some of his predecessors who seem to be very adept at bending the truth to their advantage. This book meant even more to me as I am personally acquainted with several persons mentioned in the book. Bob told the story like it was, with no embellishments. Sometimes the truth is very interesting. Good job, Bob, write another one. I am sure you have more in you.

Summary: A balanced, fast-paced and accurate account of Navy SEALs.
Review: Throughout my years as a SEAL, I worked with some of the most outstanding people ever to serve our country. Any success I had was due to their dedication and support. Being a SEAL means being a part of one of the most tightly knit teams there can be. Our lives literally depended on each other. Most SEALs I know were not Rambo, and they weren't "rogue warriors" either. They were professionals with the toughest jobs in the world. They were highly trained, highly motivated men who executed dangerous missions on a routine basis. For them, it was "another day at the office," even when it involved parachuting into high seas, or moving up a canal through waist-deep mud on the way to attack a Viet Cong stronghold. I am extremely proud to have worked with these men, and honored to have this opportunity to tell a little bit of their history, as I've lived it. This story is as much theirs as it is mine. Certainly the finest compliment I have received on this book is when a former teammate read the book and called me up to say, simply, "Good job." Two small words, but they are the highest praise I could have gotten.

Summary: Couldn't put it down!
Review: What a great book, the author did a superb job describing almost all aspects of SEAL life. From the history, to the politics, to the training, to the fighting, to the losses, and to the wins. I don't know how anyone could read this and not wish to be right there, fighting alongside the men in the book.

BZ Captain Gormly!
