Rating: Summary: Must read for all Americans concerned about their govt Review: This is a first hand account of what is wrong in the White House regarding the National Security risks in relation to the Clinton Administration's personnel, written objectively by a respected law enforcement professional who was directly responsible for screening all personnel requesting access to the White House. This book will shock you. President Clinton has no where to hide now..... must read.
Rating: Summary: Use this book for toilet paper Review: Only uneducated white trailer trash will praise this book. It is full of obviously made up garbage. Some say Mr. Aldrich was paid to write this book by Richard Mellon Scaife, a rabid Clinton-hater. By the way, Scaife has been treated at the Betty Ford Center numerous times for alcoholism.........Christian values?
Rating: Summary: We're in BIG trouble! Review: FBI agents are, by definition, squeaky clean. With this, you can believe every letter of Gary's account of the Clinton White House. The realization of this is really disturbing to me because I know what peril our country is in with these people in control. According to Gary's account, and to quote Congressman Dan Burton, these people are "Scumbags"!
Rating: Summary: Good content, however... Review: Aldrich becomes reptetive towards the end of the book. At one point, he retold the problems he was encountering getting the staff to file their security clearance forms and the lack of cooperation from his superiors in supporting his efforts. I thought that he had another point to make but it actually came across as whining. To those who panned the book with a very low rating, your remarks are sufficient to prove that you either a) Did not read the book or, b) Are exhibiting your own leftist bias as a FOB and Whitehouse dupe. The Amazon review is especially virulent and biased. If you wish to NOT sell certain books on your site, i.e., those which point out this emperor's lack of scruples, why don't you simply not list them? Oh, right...this book was a best seller and, as such, would be hard to discount. The events unfolding today with scandal after scandal being met with obfuscation and claims of non-existant privilege serves to prove that Mr. Aldrich was factually correct. I read the expanded version (c. 1998) of Unlimited Access which details even more chilling actions by the current Administration to quash publication.
Rating: Summary: Shocking revelations Review: I was shocked to learn just how far the Clinton administration had gone. I knew that the Bubba factor was in full force but this is really amazing. I applaud Gary Aldrich for his courage in writing this book.
Rating: Summary: This is a must read for every citizen of the United States. Review: This account of the Clinton White House goings-on will leave its readers totally unsettled. I had nightmares. It is well written and very descriptive. Most of the text jives with public news over the years - mostly the news that surfaces and suddenly disappears. How long will the public choose to turn their heads from the truth of Bill and Hillary and their agenda of turning our free democracy into a socialistic society. I am curious about a few things: 1) Are the quotes truly the exact words of the person being quoted? and 2) concerning Vincent Foster death, does Mr. Aldrich really believe his death was a suicide or is he simply playing it safe? (Suggest people read the Christopher Ruddy reports on V. Foster's death.) This book is a must read. If you get nightmares, too, well, so be it. Maybe then you'll know how precious and important our freedom is.
Rating: Summary: CLINTON IS A TRAITOR Review: I give it an 8 only for stylistic reasons, not substantive reasons. Among many other things, Aldrich documents the Clinton's utter lack of regard for security in the White House. This atmosphere made possible the espionage by agents of the People's Republic of China, as documented by the Thompson hearings, and recently reported by Bob Woodward in the Washington Post and William Safire in the New York Times (see especially Safire's op-ed piece of Feb. 16). Gary Aldrich is an American Hero. Bill Clinton is an American TRAITOR. He should be impeached IMMEDIATELY. And if there was any justice in this world, his punishment would not be restricted to "removal from office." It is simply beyond me how Americans could have elected this piece of human garbage twice. But, then again, by definition, fully one-half of the entire population is of below average intelligence!
Rating: Summary: Unreal Review: Okay, Gary is not Shakespeare. Do not look for plot twists, complex construction, etc., but just consider this--if 10% of what he claims is true, then the American people have twiced failed democracy.
Rating: Summary: Security Nightmare at the White House Review: I work with security for a defense contractor and can truly understand Aldrich's frustration about the efforts to undermine the White House security system. I was outraged to hear that these "friends of Bill and Hillary" would not cooperate with an FBI agent just trying to do his job. The lack of integrity is a shame and the Office of the President deserves better. It should have people working there who are above reproach and willing to cooperate with background investigations, not hide themselves. With all that's happening now concerning the presidency, I won't be surprised if more information is finally reported by the press.
Rating: Summary: My Review (1/18/98) Revisited Review: I read this book over Christmas holiday and submitted a review on 1/18/98, not knowing that events would develop as they have. In light of Clintons latest "alleged lapse", the treatment of Mr.Aldrich by the elite media deserves re-examination. Enough has not been made of the shabby reception this book recieved on it's first pass by the Clinton appologists. It may end up the most accurate assessment of the happenings in the White House. Many owe Gary Aldrich an apology. Peter Price San Diego
