Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Tulip Touch is an enjoyable book to read.
Review: I gave this book four stars becaue it held my attention. The characters seemed very real because their problems are seen in school. Tulip may not seem real to you but she does to me. The Tulip Touch, by Anne Fine, really makes you realize what a bad influence can do. I think Anne Fine told the story in just the right way to make it seem real.

Summary: unsuitable!!!
Review: I had to read this novel for a childrens lit class. I was truly distrubed by this book! Even more disturbed that it is available for children to read. Making comments that concern satan influences and etc. truly does not belong in my child's library! I am sure the author is well-known for other books but this one is upsetting!

Summary: A Pretty Good Book
Review: The Tulip Touch is a pretty good book.It is about a girl named Natalie who moves into a hotel. She meets up with a girl named Tulip. She turns out not to be as sweet as she appears. Natalie's dad tries to be nice to Tulip because she goes through a lot in her life.Tulip makes up some very strange games that turn out to be very bad.It has a pretty good ending except that it should have had a little more detail or an epilougue.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Beautifully written book showing fragility of children.
Review: This is a well-written book that shows, with great sensitivity, how fragile children can be and how important it is for others to reach out to those in trouble. The Tulip Touch should be read by young adults, 7th. grade and up, as well as by those who work with them. Not an easy book to read, on an emotional level, but well worth the effort. Wonderfully illustrates the "if only I'd....." syndrome so many of us suffer from that leads to lifelong regrets.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Everyone should read this
Review: This wonderful book shows just how influencial friends can be. Younger kids probably shouldn't read this book, but those of us between 12 and 15 have to. It needs to be assigned reading in all our schools. I am 13, in the tenth grade and found this book to be so true. Bad associations do spoil good habits, and this book shows just how. The ending is horrible, just like the reviews warn, but that is just to prove its point. It is not really depressing, but it gets you thinking. There are few books I have read that I know I will never forget, books that change my viewpoint on everything. This was one of those books.
