Summary: AS BAD AS LITERATURE GETS
Review: The person who recommended this book to me was having quite the cruel joke. Such a piece of pretentious tripe I've never experiences before. Characters? Recycled stereotypes so worn that they were passe a decade ago! Plot? Sorry, just an author's hip ego parading from boring page to tedious conclusion.

Summary: A charming read
Review: Ever wished a man would show up on your doorstep who knew how to fix everything? Meet Bob, who tackles it all, from backed up sinks to broken hearts. Carolyn See's latest is a book that takes home and heart repair seriously. Bravo to See for daring such an uplifting, high-spirited novel!

Summary: Dumb and dumber
Review: Comic-book level, this novel is for the post-bubble gum set who never developed a mature understanding or either the world or literature. A waste of time.

Summary: A Fantastic book!
Review: This book explores so many rich human relationships, you just can't stop reading! I read it in one sitting and never put it down. The rich landscape of Los Angeles, acts as one of the characters in the book. It is a moving and splendid work by Carolyne See. My favorite of her work.

Summary: A wonderful, engaging and great read!
Review: Carolyn See has done it again. She remains one of my favorite all time authors. Her intelligence, compassion and humor shine brightly in every line of The Handyman. It is a great pleasure to walk through the life of this hero. It is a luxary to be transported to the poolside to watch him paint and to tag along on his adventures in Los Angeles. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of fiction and a lover of good writing. I was sorry the novel didn't last another 6,000 pages. But even if it had, I'm sure I would have wished for a million more.

Summary: Carolyn See Rocks!
Review: It's totally rad! The cover makes it look like it's going to be really serious, or scary like a thriller or something but it's not. It's really funny! My mom thought I was too young to understand it but I loved it a lot.

Summary: Where Have All The Good Men Gone?
Review: Ladies, stop whatever you're doing and read this book. Sexy, steamy, funny, expertly written, charming, I could not put the sucker down. I was reading parts of it out loud to my husband at night and even he was glued to every word.

Summary: What An Unusual Treat!
Review: Someone recommended "The Handyman" to me, and after coming to Amazon.com to purchase it I almost didn't buy it because there were so many bad reviews on this site! But I went ahead and picked it up, and all I can say is: wow! Maybe today's generation of young people are just too cynical to appreciate such an uplifting, generous story of love, life, art, beauty, sensuality...We are saturated with cynicism today that it was such a breath of fresh air to read this great book. Turns out it was the perfect Mother's Day gift for me as it has totally revived my sagging spirit. I loved it!

Summary: A Very Poor Novel
Review: I found this to be a very poor novel. Of course, novels are totally subjective. You either love them or you hate them. Thus, it is my opinion that those people who are praising this novel are the same people who would vote for Madonna for President of the United States, should the illustrious lady ever care to declare. Simply a matter of taste.
