Rating: Summary: A fanciful, fast-paced delight Review: The Green Man was very different from most of the Kingsley Amis books that I have read, but I enjoyed this one all the same. His dark perception of the swing of things added to his sarcastic humor (a little Jim Dixon in there somewhere) made this book a thought provoking intriging story.

Rating: Summary: WICKED WRITER Review: This book was my introduction to the world of Kingsley Amis, and if it's any indicator of his talent, then I'm definitely staying around. The Green Man is a great novel- a spoof of the horror genre with elements of satire on one level, and yet it also has an important message underneath it all. The main character of this novel, Maurice, is either a nutcase or is really seeing dead people. You be the judge. I loved his charcter through all his orgyness and consumption of pills and booze. Anyone who likes horror and wants something a little different, or even those who aren't fans, but want to read a novel by a master of the english language, capable of making anything sound good-check this book out.
