Summary: Good book, weird ending.
Review: This is a somewhat unusual "Dilbert" book, in that it is not merely a collection of "Dilbert" cartoons, but is rather a humorous ramble by Scott Adams, accompanied by "Dilbert" cartoons strategically placed to illustrate whatever point he's making at that particular moment. As such, it was quite interesting and amusing. The only weak spot was the last chapter, in which Adams, apparently at least semi-seriously, proposes some ideas that are so fluffy and new-agey that I was beginning to wonder if he was channelling for Shirley MacLaine; in the post-script, he claims that he was not really claiming that these things WERE true, but only that they COULD be, as a thought experiment; that's a lot less unreasonable, and he does maintain his sense of humor, even while being apparently serious about weirdness, but it was kind of unsettling. My advice is, assume that he's kidding in the last chapter. It'll be more enjoyable, and it'll keep your head from exploding.

Summary: Good--but the Principle is better than the book.
Review: My title is literal: The Dilbert Principle is much, much better. Adams is better at sattiring the present than creating a future, and I feel the Dilbert Principle is simply a better example of a very good talent.

Summary: Warning to InDUHviduals!
Review: I have but one warning: do not eat cheese while reading this book! It is too difficult to co-ordinate chewing and laughing. You are far too likely to end up with a very messy book and you'll have to buy another. I haven't tried eating anything else while reading it but I'll wager the results are just as ugly.

Summary: Very Funny, but a Little Scattered
Review: While this book made me laugh, it was not quite as good as some of Scott Adam's other works such as "The Dilbert Principle." It does, however, introduce the important concept of the "induhvidual." This is essential for the future leaders of the planet to understand.

The book seems to jump around from one point to another without much to tie them together and that is the main reason why I deducted one star from its rating. But, it still contains plenty of wit and insight to make it worth your while.

Summary: Prank?
Review: Not that this book is "War & Peace", but I haven't finished reading it yet...so don't make too much of the rating I gave it. In fact, I was just flipping through it when the last chapter caught my attention. It was very readable, but I have to ask: is it all just a prank? Does anyone know FOR SURE?

It's certainly the kind of prank that Adams would pull. In one of his other books, he tells the story of how he posed as a management consultant. The motivation there seemed to be playing with people's gullibility for his own amusement, so I could see him doing it here, too.

Summary: As good as his comic, if not better...
Review: Scott Adams must be a genius. This book is so funny, but at the same time shows a wisdom not many have. Mr. Adams gives us his view of the future, and by doing such, help us to realize that our stupidity and technology have taken over...

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A whitty look into the future
Review: This short book is Scott Adams' witty view of what the future holds. Clearly not to be taken seriously, this book is a good light-read, and will give you a few chuckles.

Summary: Best Dilbert Book Ever
Review: Loved the book. This book showed perfectly how the world is becoming stupider by the minute. The pranks section is my favorite.(got some good ones)

Summary: Very funny, but prepare to be surprised.
Review: A great read. Though admittedly not as clever or witty as The Dilbert Principle, it proved nonetheless very funny and consistently amusing, and was very well complemented by the included strips. The final chapter was such an incredible and compelling surprise that it alone would have made the book well worth reading; who would have ever guessed that such a cynical satirist would dwell so thoughtfully on deeper subjects, reveal unusual and unbelievable experiences, or go so far as to seriously question basic scientific concepts, much less at the risk of turning many off his more close-minding readers away? His sincerity and optimism seemed in such incredibly contrast with all I had previously identified with Scott Adams that it totally changed the way I looked at the cartoonist.

To a (certain) reader: It seems to me that your dissatisfaction with the closing chapter, and indeed the book in general, stems directly from ignorance, general close-mindedness as a result of said ignorance, ensuing frustration, and a tendency to write negative reviews of things that reveal your inadequacies in an effort to artificially enhance your evidently meager sense of self-worth. Because you succeed at getting these bitter, ego-boosting points across, I suggest that you become a film critic.
