Rating: Summary: Ms. Truman, could you please (...) ME instead? Review: I had to read this book for school. I don't know WHY. All the characters were identical, the plot was confusing, and the end had no real explanation whatsoever. It took me a MONTH to read this garbage. I think she's just riding on the wave of her Daddy's fame from his presidency and never actually bothered to take writing lessons.
Rating: Summary: Politics and scandal - what a delicious combination Review: In this addition to a stunning mystery series, Mac and Annabel Smith met some real quirky characters. These characters are the breath of fresh air that the series needed to keep from getting stale. The plot in this story keeps the reader interested and there are enough twists and turns to not be bored but not too many to get confused.

Rating: Summary: Run-of-the-Mill Murder Mystery Review: Ms. Truman has had a long run of Capital Crime Mysteries now and honestly, I can't really find anything "wrong" with this one. It just didn't seem to have the pizazz of others in the series, even though we see the same protagonist. Mystery lovers will enjoy this book even though it seemed like some plot elements were after-thoughts. A bit too predictable, also, as I had figured out the murderer about 1/3 of the way in to it. Better than having nothing to read though, I suppose.
