Rating: Summary: Very Good. Review: I really liked this book, but I've read it before. Elias reminded me way too much of many J.A.K. heroes (remember the hero from Midnight Jewels? It's like she just used the same hero again with a different name.) Don't get me wrong. This is a good formula and it definitely works for her, but she needs to branch out a bit more. It was still a good book though.
Rating: Summary: The glowing truth Review: I thought this book was a marvelous depiction of contemporary romance. It presented a fascinating philosophy, an intriguing plot, and charters that you want to know personally. Creating a setting full of intrigue and suspense yet not crossing over into melodrama, this story possesses all the qualities of a well-written piece of literature. Remaining entertaining throughout with just enough plot twists to keep one on their toes yet not crossing over into unbelievable, this tale is truly an inspired work. Mirroring the fantastic author Jayne Ann Krentz, this book is a genuine work of art, painting the story so vividly with words that all of the small nuances are captured and put to light. For anyone looking for a good book that will give you both a run for your money and a warm glow, this is it. Another bona fide masterpiece and worth every second spent reading it. It will become a close friend and a true comfort.
Rating: Summary: Krentz at her best Review: I throughly enjoyed reading this book.
Rating: Summary: Hard to put down once you've begun Review: I very muched enjoyed reading this book. Krentz writes an excellent novel in any genre and this was no exception. The quirks she adds to her characters make the novels just that much more interesting. Any romance reader who purchases "Deep Waters" will be in for some great fun.
Rating: Summary: Great stuff... Review: I've read Ms. Krentz's works under this name and others, and she's a master. I loved this book. It had a few interesting side plots (completely nessecary to keep me interested) and a lot of interesting detail in the main storyline. Charity and Elijah really don't seem like well-fitting lovers, but she somehow makes them work. Again, I adored it. :)
Rating: Summary: One of my favorite Review: It is a change from the usual to have the story written from the male point of view. This is a man who never pushes, never forces and never schemes to intimidate the girl. I like him. I think he's a little too good to be true, but I like him.It is a mistake to think of Jayne Ann Krentz as merely a romance writer. I am an avid fan of classical mystery writers, and I find Ms Krentz' mystery plots to be among the best of the genre.

Rating: Summary: Skip This One Review: Jayne Ann Krentz has been one of my favorite romance writers for a while now - I read "Flash" and "Eye of the Beholder" over and over. "Deep Waters" was a big disappointment: Elias Winters was downright unbelievable, Charity Truitt seems like a poor replica of a character from one of Krentz's better novels, and the story was uninteresting - like me, you'll probably figure out "who dunnit" before anything gets done!
Rating: Summary: Not one of Krentz's best efforts. Review: Jayne Ann Krentz is a master storyteller who combines romance and adventure with a skilled hand. However, even the best sometimes fall back on formula when their muse deserts them and this book is an example of Krentz with either serious writer's block or a deadline right around the corner. The characters of Charity and Elias as well as the bizarre people who make their livings on the pier are bad photocopies of previous characters from her earlier novels. All seem interesting on the surface but do not have the degree of detail that marks Krentz's normal high level of quality. The story is no better and is reminiscent of one of her less imaginative series romances. All in all, this one is not worth the effort and certainly not the high price that a paperback commands these days.
Rating: Summary: You won't want to put it down ! Review: Jayne Ann Krentz writes a story that makes you want to jump in the book and become a character. She has an insightful way of developing the characters and the storyline. She is such a delight - and even if you can predict the ending, it's still a wonderful read. She takes two wonderful people with lenghthy pasts and puts them together. Their friends and family along with the home town crowd from Otis Landing make up a group of delightful charaters to round off the story.
Great book for the summer !
