Rating: Summary: No complaints Review: I found this book to be very satisfying. It worked for me. One of the things I like about Krentz is that her characters are older and wiser. This story has humor and wit and wisdom. The characters have self-doubt and really seem to question what they want to do with the rest of their lives. Deep Waters is a feel good book that makes you think about your own life. Most romance thrillers do not relate to my life in any way. This book is not only entertaining, it is involving. The murder mystery plot is not nearly as important as the personal struggle Charity and Elias experience in trying to find peace and balance in their lives. It is not surprising that they find it together in the end, they take their time and build a mature relationship with layers (and good sex). Isn't that what romance is all about?
Rating: Summary: KRENTZ HAS WRITTEN ANOTHER BEST SELLER! Review: I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A KRENTZ FAN. SHE WRITES THE MOST WONDERFUL NOVELS AND THIS ONE IS NO EXCEPTION. SHE DECRIBES MANIC DEPRESSION AND PANIC ATTACKS VERY WELL. HERE IS A STORY THAT CAN ALMOST RIVAL FAMILY MAN. A MUST READ
Rating: Summary: Jayne has never disappointed me with any of her books. Review: I have read and enjoyed most of the books she has written under all of her pseudonyms. Deep Waters was no exception. She has way of drawing you into the story. The characters become real and you want to visit them again. Elias, Charity, Otis and the rest of the Crazy Otis Landing Gang are old friends that are funny, unforgettable people that will welcome you to Whispering Cove..
Rating: Summary: loved the book --- hated the narrator Review: I have this book in two editions, 1 paperback (to read at home), and 1 audio version (for work). the only complaint I have is the narrator. I almost didn't buy the book after listening to the tape -- the narrator speaks in a montone with no concept of emotion or inflection of any type -- I have no idea if this was intentional to reflect the lead characters mental state, but it made the entire presentation difficult to follow.
Rating: Summary: Briefly . . . Review: I love Jayne Ann Krentz's novels, but this one was boring. There were a few amusing lines, however, a much better version of this book is her Midnight Jewels. Instead of Charity, you have Mercy running a book store. Instead of Elias, you have Croft who has cultivated his own martial arts technic. There are fewer characters but the action and the story fly faster and with far greater appeal.
Rating: Summary: Jayne Ann Krentz never disappoints! Review: I never tire of reading Ms. Krentz' books. Her characters in this book are (as always) intelligent, quirky and believeable. She never makes her heroin the most beautiful or the hero the most handsome but there is always something special that make them appeal to one another. Some may call this fromulatic, but I find that it is a formula that works. Her books never fail to make the reader feel good at the end. That is prcisely why I read romances. Ree-view
Rating: Summary: One of JAK's BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I rank this one With "Absolutely, Positively" "Trust Me" and "Wildest Hearts" as been JAK's best works. It is full of warm witty JAK characters and I loved Charity and Elias!! Charity Truitt is from the Truitt department store money and they expected her to marry Brett Loftus heir to Loftus Athletic Gear, a marriage of the families and the businesses merged. Only Charity was not going along with well managed plans. Instead, she opens a bookstore in Whispering Waters Cove. A quaint peer, with bunch of eclectic shops and boutiques. Only problem, the owner of the peer died and left the pier to Elias Winters, along with his odd ball shop called Charms & Virtues. Land speculation is booming and the peer is either a thorn in the side or a place that will be developed, and everyone is betting that Elias is just waiting to make his move. Only Charity, is marshalling the shop owners, trying to fight the greed mayor and their cronies, and plans to spearhead an open confrontation with Elias. Elias claims he is not going to sell the peer, and plans on running Charms & Virtues. She does not full trust him at first, but that does not stop her from being attracted to the controlled man. She finds he is definitely a man where still waters run deep, a martial arts master, former career executive and a man with intense emotions that he keeps them very tightly controlled. Add to the mix the showdown between the shop owners, the town people and a cult waiting for an alien invasion and you have one wonderful book. Simply a marvellous read!!!!!!!!!

Rating: Summary: a great book! i loved it! Review: i really enjoyed reading this book. i liked the charcters, and Elias was a very deep and interesting character. the asian water philosophy was a bit weird, but it made it all the better seeing (or reading) how he was changed at the end and they both changed each other. the plot itself was also great, so i couldn't put the book down. there were amusing parts, and i finished the story in one evening!
