Rating: Summary: An excellent thriller!!! Review: I recieved this book for Christmas, and was not able to put it down. It literally pulled me into the plot from the very beginning. I would definately recommend this book to anyone except chrildren. It was definately the most disturbing book of hers I have read, but it was still tasteful. A must-read!!
Rating: Summary: Continuous Action Review: When I started to read this book it, immediately drew me into the story. The first part starts off talking about the death of her children and brought you into the action. It makes you wonder what is going to happen later in the story. Continuously throughout the book more and more information leads you to find out exactly where the children had disappeared to. Also throughtout the story she brought in more characters that knew little bits and pieces about the missing children. Finally it all came together. It was a very well written piece. Clark is very descriptive in what she is describing. You get your own visual of the setting. This is one of those stories that you know all the information and you want to tell the characters in the story. Clark really has a way of writing and making the reader enjoy her stories. I really enjoyed reading it and finished it within a few days cause I couldn't set it down.
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Ended Ever Review: This is the first book of Mary Higgins Clark I have read. I had been told she was very good. Let me tell you it was well worth the wait. Excellant book the ended kept me hanging on. I can't wait till Winter Break to read another of her books. I did wonder about the actual case the idea came from.
Rating: Summary: Don't Make Assumptions Review: Where Are The Children? by Mary Higgins Clark is a definite there-is-no-way-I'm-putting-this-down kind of book. The book gives you a feeling of uneasiness, and then horror when you realize what is about to happen next. The way Clark describes her characters and their feelings makes you feel like you're there in the story. She is definitely a very descriptive writer. As you're reading the book, you might find yourself relating to the characters and having the same reactions to certain situations. I love the way Clark lets you know more information than most of the characters. When Nancy realizes her children have been abducted, your heart starts to pound and doesn't stop until the end of the book. It gives you a feeling like you're a parent, and your own children are missing, and you can't sleep until you find them. Where Are The Children? is and excellent book, and I would recommend it to anyone!
Rating: Summary: Excellent!! Review: One word can describe this story, "Excellent." It was suspensful and unique from the first to the last page. The author has a unique writing style that intrigues me to search for more of her stories. This particular story will make you think from beginning to end... and I bet you'll be surprised at the conclusion! The emotions are high, and the storyline is terribly frightening... even the name of the book is downright scary!!! Read this one... you'll be glad you did!!!!
Rating: Summary: Excellent!!! Review: One word can describe this story, "Excellent." It was suspensful and unique from the first to the last page. The author has a unique writing style that removes all predictability, leaving me completely engrossed in the story. The author takes a story with some unbelievable twists, and writes with such stong details and emotions, that makes those twists quite believable. One shouldn't be able to predict the outcome of this story!!
Rating: Summary: Lost Track Of Time Review: Ms. Clark has a way of making me forget that I have to fold laundry, make lunches or even go to bed. Her novels drag me into the story and that's where I stay until the very end. I found myself frowning at the frustrating charactors and smiling at the 'good guy'. Excelent book, just make sure you have nothing planned for the day.
Rating: Summary: TOP-NOTCH-THIRILLER!!!!! Review: I'm a 14 year old girl who lives in New York City. I had to read this book for summer reading for school. I, because I'm not into reading thought this was going to be a dull, boring book. Well I was WrOnG!!!! I couldn't put this book down! I couldn't even put it out of my site-I read it within 1 day...it was like I NEEDED to know what happened. You should definately get this book-and it is by no means a childrens book! Yes, there were parts in it I found a tiny bit disturbing-but it only added to the excitment and suspense in this novel! I recommend you to read this book-if you don't you'll be missing out on some amazing reading!
Rating: Summary: she tackles an important issue well for 1975 Review: although she uses more profanity in here than i have ever seen in any of her books, it was an amazing read. it covered the issue of pedophilia with tact and precision but wasn't repulsive. i give it three stars because it was a good read but not as engrossing as some of her other novels. i figured out who the murderer was from the beginning, so i wasn't too shocked with the ending - just a little vindicated.
Rating: Summary: SUSPENSE, SUSPENSE, SUSPENSE Review: It's been many years since I read this book, so I can't really comment on the actual story in detail, however, this book stands out in my memory as one of my all time favorites.I received this book on Christmas Day and started reading it and couldn't move all day. I was so engrossed by this story that I just had to find out what happened next. It was LITERALLY a page turner for me. I sat in the same chair and read until I had finished the whole book. That to me is a great book! If you like mysteries, GET THIS BOOK!
