Summary: Awesome Book
Review: Benchly does is again! Another Sea thriller! This time it's a little more complex, though and has an interesting twist to the story! Overall an excellent book with well developed Characters and ideas! I'd reccomend this book to everyone to read!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A fast and intense read
Review: I found the book to be very well writen and creative. I couldn't put it down from the moment I started and actually finished it in two days. I would easily recommend this book to anyone who's looking for a fun thriller.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good, predictable but good.
Review: This book ran like a good horror movie, you have a basic idea about what is going to occur, but it's still fun. It's interesting what the shark actually turns out to be. Overall good book, intense

Summary: You're not safe in or out of the water now!
Review: I love Benchley books, Jaws is the original master piece, The Beast- a great 90's comeback for the esteemed author and now White Shark. Although parts seem unlikely or unrealistic, (like the creation of his new beast), you soon forget there are limitations to reality and get sucked into this SCARY novel. If you thought going back into the water after seeing Jaws was hard, you might not be able to leave the safety of your house after reading this thrill ride. It sent chills up and down my spine the whole way through. Well developed and realistic characters make for and entertaining read and I hope they never make a movie of this, because my picture of The Beast in my mind is scary enough! Buy this book if you are into nautical TERROR!

Summary: My first Benchley book and I'm hooked!
Review: OK, there's no real surprises here--you know that the monster's going to terrorise the waters around a fishing community, kill a few scientists and members of the public, and maybe screw up the ecosystem a little bit. Then there'll be a final chaotic conclusion where the beast is revealled for what it is and in some imaginative Benchley-way slain by the good scientist and his chirpy family. Good enough for me! Predictable as the course of the plot is, this is ideal escapism and for summer reading you can really get sucked into it. Nothing strikingly original here, so perhaps I only enjoyed it so much because I wasn't familiar with the author. Veteran Benchley fans might not like it so much, but for anyone new to him I'd say this is as good a place to start as any! OK, so the plot is a bit naff. OK, so the characters are all a little annoying. A LOT annoying. But, come on, this isn't Dante. Just kick back in your deckchair and enjoy the ride!

Summary: Great White is a guppy gray.
Review: WOW! What was he writing about? The story was okay ... but the ending was the worst I have ever read. It kept building up, then dropped me like a rock into shallow water with jagged rocks. I think the fall would be more of an adventure than the book. Please, Peter, more excitement next time, and a much better ending.

Summary: Scary, I still get chills!
Review: A mad scientist. A evil creature. A sunk sub. Death. Creature ? Not telling. The only thing I did not like was I can't figure out what the creature looked like.

Summary: This Book Rocked
Review: This is the best book I have ever read. I suggest anyone who hasn't read it needs to. It kept me reading for hours at a time, because the suspense was awesome.

Summary: Successful failure
Review: Peter Benchley's new book is what I would call a successful failure. In the beginning of the book the setting is unclear and the events not thoroughly given out which gives it a scary atmosphere. Good starting. We don't know exactly what is going on in the book yet. From the point in the book that suggests the creature has legs and arms is when the book takes its major downfall. The book was very well written except for the fact that a shark with steel teeth and legs is TOO far fetched. Turns the novel into something similar to a comic book. It took a major downfall with this. However it did get me going for a minute. It was very creepy right through the point before the end. After that it was a joke.
