Rating: Summary: I always want to know what happens next. Review: I liked it how Conley used Ronald and Vernon to become friends. I could visualize the events that were happening. It was very interesting how Vernon would be kind to maxine when she was drunk and how Maxine would always cuss him and everyone else out.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS A VERY SAD BOOK! Review: I loved this book, but i thought it was one of the saddest books i've ever read. I don't cry very often over books, but this one got to me... I thought the characters were so interesting, i couldn't stop reading!
Rating: Summary: crazy lady ...my opinion Review: I only liked the novel when Bobby was getting in trouble, when Vernon cussed out Milt, and when Vernon helped Ronald. Milt had been really rude to Vernon and Maxine. He was trying to rip them off. It was really nice when Vernon helped out Ronald, who had mental retardation. This novel helps people be aware of people with disabilities. That was the theme of the book. It wouldn't be a book that I would buy. I like more adventurous books and less serious books.
Rating: Summary: crazy lady...not my favorite book Review: I read Crazy Lady.It was horible. It was the most stupid book I read this year. I do not like serious books. I'm on the funny side. The book was about a drunk lady & her son that had mental problems. Their names were Maxine & Ronald. Maxine & Ronald got on my nerves because they got into so much trouble. There was a boy named Vernon. His mom died and he had issues in school. He was the main character in the book.
Rating: Summary: Crazy Lady?!!?..... Review: I read the book jacket and was like "cool!" But then I read the edittorial reviews and they were nothing like the book. :(
Rating: Summary: Richards review for Crazy Lady Review: I think that the book was pretty good, but I really did not like it.It was about a lady that drinks alot and how she is going through her problems. The lady has a child that she takes care of.In the middle of the story things start to get rough. When the lady started drinking in the middle of the book she was smashing bottles and being crazy. At the end of the book the lady sends her son away.I would not recommend this book to any of the students my age.
Rating: Summary: Crazy Lady Review: I think that this book was a good lesson; it taught you not to judge a person before your know them. It also teaches that you can be friends with anyone. I think that Maxine gets drunk way too much! Vernon, a boy in the story,is a vey nice to Ronald, the mentally changelled kid. Also a another character in the story is Miss Annie, a teacher that retired, who has a walker, who helps Vernon get good grades, which is very nice!
Rating: Summary: It was a great book Review: I think this was a book that gave us a lesson. The lesson was that you never judge a person on how they look. For example at first Vernon tought that Maxine was a crazy lady but they ended up being good friends. That is why I think Crazy Lady is a great book.
Rating: Summary: Great!! Well put togethor Review: I thought that it was a great book and loked doing a report on it
Rating: Summary: Book Review for Crazy Lady Review: I thought that this book was OK but I don't really like it because I always thought that mystery and scary books were good. Sometimes this book got a little confusing but not a lot. There was a lot of suspense in this story. But I don't think there was enough suspense. It got boring sometimes, like at the beginning it was really boring. I didn't like the ending because (...). If they're going to do that they should have made a sequel. Or did they? I don't know but they should have made the ending so they had Vernon actually catch up with Ronald and not trip and fall. Or at least have his dad take him to California where Ronald went or something like that. Overall I didn't really like the book because of the ending. Otherwise the book was good.
