Summary: Not so grand...Crazy Lady
Review: = My review on the book Crazy Lady
Reviewer: A 12-year old reader from Janesville, WI
It just wasn't my idea of a fascinating story. I like stories with action. I like books that have you on the edge of your seat, like Stephan King books or something. Its got to have parts that make your spine shiver and parts that gross you out beyond belief. Im not a fan of simple happy books.
The only reason i read the book was for school, I probably wouldn't have picked it up in a library and said, "I shall read this book!" If I would have had the choice to read it I would have said no. If you are the kind of person that likes a happy story with somewhat saddening parts, then I guess this is a book for you. But if you don't like that kind of thing I advise you to pick something up by: John Saul or Stephan King.

Silly people..I am thriteen not twelve..if only one more year had been added

Review: A SANTA I WOULD HAVE TOLD HIM MYSELF, BUT NO IT'S WRITER'S LIKE THIS THAT HAS TO TAKE THAT WONDERFUL PERSON(SANTA) AWAY FROM HIM......NOT ALL OF US ARE JEWISH, MATTER OF FACT MOST AMERICAN'S CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS! SO, WHO GIVES JANE LESLIE CONLY, HARPER/COLLINS PUBLISHERS & LAURA GERINGER THE RIGHT TO TAKE THAT AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN? P.S. Amazon needs to change the rating system to 0 stars to 5 stars......because for me to post this I have to give it a star and that isn't fair at all to me. So I rate this book 0 stars

Summary: Desperate
Review: After I had just read "The Phantom Tollbooth" for school reading points, I was so motivated for reading. The next book I picked out was this. It seemed good. Boy, was that ever a big mistake I made! Here's the plot. Vernon a boy helps the strange Maxine Flooter and her...uh "mentally disordered" son Ronald. Don't expect any more plot than that. This book was so slow nothing good ever happened. Routine happened all the time. Also, the ending was very predictable. The last three paragraphs were very desperate. About the only thing that kept me going for the last four chapters was seeing if Ronald would talk. If all that weren't enough, the language is too strong at times for a children's book. Just forget it.

Summary: Crazy Lady
Review: Crazy Lady is filled with laughs and tears, from beginning to end. Vernon is in a tug of war between good and bad people. He learns to look on the inside of a person instead of just the outside. He makes some pretty interesting friends throughout the book. At the end of the book, Vernon feels as if someone is trying to tear his new friends away from him. Find out for yourself in Crazy Lady, by Jane Leslie Conly.

Summary: Crazy Lady Review
Review: Crazy Lady was fun to read. My favorite character was Ronald because he tried so hard to learn to talk and he always behaved good. My favorite part of the story was at the end when Ronald was leaving and Vernon chased the truck so far just because he loved Ronald. At the beginning Vernon was embarrassed about Maxine and Ronald but by the end of the story he loved Ronald. Another good part was when Vernon threw the carnival to raise money for Ronald. That showed his real character. He cared so much about what his friends thought but he would never do anything to hurt anyone. I think Crazy Lady was a good book.

Review: Crazy Lazy, by Jane Leslie Conly, is a great and well-written book for the readers of the teenage category. It is a book about Vernon Dibbs, a 7th-grade boy who lives in the neighborhood Teleny Heights. There is a lady, Maxine Flooter, who lives in his neighborhood and has a son named Ronald with special needs. Vernon and his friends always tormented Maxine, by calling her the "Crazy Lady," and trashed her yard and property. Then one day, the cashier at the local convenience store was giving Maxine and Vernon a hard time, they both had to travel up a huge hill to get the groceries. Vernon offered to get Maxine's for her and deliver them to her house, so Maxine, in turn, repayed him by finding him a tutor for his dropping grades, named Miss Annie. This book takes us through all the adventures Vernon has with th Flooters, including the carnival he held to raise money for the Red Converse shoes and the clothes Ronald needed to participate in the Special Olympics. He finds strength and comfort within this odd little family. In the end of the book............................. Sike!!! I'm not going to tell you. Read the book to find out!!!
I enjoyed this book and think that Mrs. Conly should write a sequel to it because the ending was not very informative. It just sopped and we never found out how Ronald made out.

Review: I can understand why some people like it. I like Vernon, and the other kids. But something about the story was weird. It was just an odd book. :(

Summary: Crazy Lady Wasn't Great
Review: I HATED this book. The main charecter,Vernon, was to goody goody and wanted to solve everyones problems. Ronald, a mentaly challenged boy, didnt really know what as going on around him. Another charecter was Maxine. She got drunk to much. Vernon gets to know ronald and that was probally the best part. This book teaches alot of lessons about drinking, but I would not read it again.

Summary: This Book is Crazy
Review: I have read this book over 2 times and have enjoyed every time. It it really funny at times. It is a great book. My favorite part is when one of the main characters was running as fast as 30 miles per hour. He was racing a car. He fell and tripped and fell into some glass. He got really hurt. If you want to read a good book then read this book.

Summary: I like Crazt Lady!!!
Review: I like the book Crazy Lady. To me it had meaning. It tought me a good lesson. Everyone haas feelings. We all may be different, but we all are human beings. I learned that calling people mean names or did wrong doing was a thing that could cause a fight. Such as, when Vernon through a fair for Ronal, Maxine showed up drunk. One, Vernon was very mad with Maxine. Two, she showed Ronald something that could ruin his life. I think that was the second to last bad thing that happened in Crazy Lady. Crazy Lady is a good story to teach little kids to treat people as they would want to be treated. This would also be a good book for adults to read.
