Summary: Okay; certianly nothing to set the world on fire...
Review: Darksaber was an alright book, but if you plan to buy it, be prepared for a bad ending. Anderson did better on this book than he did on the Jedi Acadamy Trilogy, but he tended to abuse the characters a lot. It had a plot that was not interesting enough to implant itself in my memory; after only a few months I have forgotten all but the most important parts of the story. If you do decide to buy Darksaber, remember, it's not the only Star Wars book out there.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A nice book for S.W. fans!
Review: Anderson has written many Star Wars novels and this is one of the better ones. Despite a good plot, some of his ideas remain far-fetched. The idea of a Hutt building a weapon from Imperial plans is quite far beyond me. Even if the weapon fails. I would still reccomend it to any big fan of Star Wars.

Summary: A VERY GREAT BOOK!!!!!! (with a few exceptions)
Review: This book has to be one of the best SW books ever!! I love Admiral Daala, and I liked the way she killed all of those stupid warlords in the beginning. Pellaeon was pretty good too, but he wasn't that great an Imperial commander. I liked that wampa battle on Hoth, and when Han and Luke went to Tatooine and rode with the Sand People. However, some parts of this book were not so good. Durga the Hutt SUCKED!!!! His idea to create another Death Star was ridiculous! AND IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ASTEROID FIELD?????? Come on- Anderson could've done better than that. Plus, Chewbacca and Leia weren't major characters in the book. But the worst part of this book was that THE DARKSABER THING DIDN'T EVEN WORK!!!!!!!! And Daala could have done much more damage with that Super Star Destroyer. But there were more great things than bad things. It was nice to see Kyp Durron in action again; plus Dorsk 81 didn't act like a wuss like he did in the Jedi Academy Trilogy (even though he died). THIS BOOK ROCKED!!!

Summary: Well written. A true work of art.
Review: 1) I am sorely offended by the person who slandered this book. 2) i am sure that other people, when they read your review(Yes, you who wrote the long review) will be offended as well. This book is a masterpiece. Well written, Anderson stikes again, with a fabolous book, and a style distincly all his own.

Well done.

Summary: Darksaber is wonderful!
Review: This is an excellent book! I don't want to give it away , but the Hutt's superweopon bieng hit by an astriod , what a supreme stroke of luck!It had an extremly well-written plot, so congratulations,Mr. Anderson! I will go on to read your other books.

Summary: Great, could have been better
Review: Nice twist of plots. Good way to mix the resurgent Imperials, Callista's conflict with her disability from using the Force, and Durga the Hutt's attempt to conquer the galaxy. But honestly, what's with ANOTHER galaxy threatening superweapon? Come on. And...oh no! It's the one-armed ice wampa from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK! Please. You'd think we were seven years old. From a Star Wars fan's point of view, this was an enjoyable read, and would recommend it to all Star Wars fans.

Summary: This story was half good-half bad
Review: Ok where do i star..I think that there are many good parts about Admiral Daala and her attempt to destroy the rebels..But the Hutts buildiing a superweapon that gets crushed by an asteroid and doesn't even work? I would have loved this story EVEN more if the stupid thing had actually WORKED..Ah well, it was still a good book!

Summary: Authors like Kevin J. Anderson are soiling Star Wars
Review: The people who like this book are the same people who like anything with the name "Star Wars". If you've glanced through the Star Wars Encyclopedia, you've probably noticed how many bad stories/characters have been dumped into the Star Wars universe by people like Anderson. I remember before his Jedi Academy Trilogy came out and seeing a picture of him laying on the floor surrounded by West End Games Star Wars sourcebooks, digging for material. I had a bad feeling about it, and the books sucked. But Kevin Anderson proves that ANYBODY can write a Star Wars novel. Just use the easy to follow outline below: 1. Invent a new superweapon for the bad guys (or borrow a previously used one!) 2. Invent new, uninteresting characters (or borrow old ones and misuse them) 3. Devise idiotic plot twists (for example, Luke and Callista are surrounded by Wampas, led by the one who's arm Luke cut off in EMPIRE. Now come on! That is truly idiotic! The next thing you know, IG-88 will be transferring his escence into the 2nd Death Star to take it over and...oh, that's already been done.) 4. Describe your characters as being one thing, then write them in a completely different way (example: "military genious" Daala is incompetent.) 5. Write bad action sequences, abuse any and all characters, kill them, and have a disappointing ending.

I rest my case.

Summary: Good Mix of Things
Review: It was a good mix of Daala and other Imperials. I liked how he used Castilla in this book. I wanted to skip over to all of the parts just to see if she recieved her jedi skills back. I hated to see that Madine died on such a wasted idea of a superweapon. It seems like they are playing, how many times can we make a superweapon? Decent book, but not real great. Don't waste your money!
