Summary: Wilbur's Best Book
Review: Also surprised at the lack of response. This was the first book of his I read, and coincidentally the first book he wrote. I read quite a few since then. Most were good. This one is still the best. A larger than life adventure.

Summary: Wild Africa.................
Review: Find it absolutely incredible that so few people have reviewed this excellent work ! Smith's first novel is a magnificent saga of 1880's South Africa. The Courtenays brothers, Sean and Gary, are two farm boys whose close relationship is shattered by a hunting accident that wedges between them an animosity and life-long rivalry. The story line is strong and absorbing : love, adventure and history, a man's book that women would find well worth a read. The book is the first of a brilliant trilogy. Do yourself a favour and read them.

Review: I can actually not describe the feeling that you get when you read this book. It is also the start of a super series. I've read them all and baught Monsoon today. For my whole life(born in 1964 and When The Lion Feeds was written then) this auther kept me going....

Summary: Excellent reading, everything for everyone.
Review: I have read all of his novels. He grabs you with the opening words, and seems to drop you almost as suddenly. His books are so interesting and engrossing, when it comes time to finish, you don't want it to end.

I get the impression he wants to end the book and cannot bear to do it, so he just sums it up and turns off the light.

Review: Other reviews accurately describe this outstanding, action packed
novel by Wilbur Smith. However Amazon.com persists is notifying
readers by email that this is a new, year 2000, novel by Wilbur Smith.
It is not. "When the Lion Feeds," was first published in
1964 in USA and has been reprinted several times since. If you have
not yet read the book, it is a first class read, buy it....
