Rating: Summary: Alan Colmes Should Quit Review: Enough is enough Alan, Every night your becoming Sean Hannity's Punching Bag. Do you really want to make money like this Alan, it's just really humiliating and im just shocked that you could take it from this man night after night. Alan I am asking you to leave the Fox News Channel, If you can't debate hannity it's better people lose exposure to this man's mouth. So come on Alan, step up to the plate for all of us Liberals and knock one out of the park, either that or start getting some muscle on Hannity, but don't throw 3rd grade insults like Hannity does. Stick to what your doing, But speak up and don't let Hannity rule this show. Alan you were put on that show to make us liberals look bad, and it's a real shame, because I bet your an intelligent man. Your Co-Host is so far right that he can just splurt out garbage and he'll win everytime. It's good your backing it up with facts, But Alan, I'm dissapointed in you that you could just give up to Sean Hannity like that. I want you to go tell Rupert Murdoch and his corporate goons to shove it. And hopefully you should get a job on Crossfire where you can actually speak.
Rating: Summary: Comendable! A surprisingly good book by Colmes. Review: Alan Colmes wrote a good book. Say what you will about his place in Fox news but the guy wrote a honest, non-extremist, non-sensationalized book about liberalism. The man deserves some credit. He leaves little room, aside from his subtle condoning of Fox as "fair and balanced", for reproach. His moderate tone and pragmatic approach, though not as entertaining as Franken or Moore, gives an excellent, though academic, defense for liberalism. Though not immune to harsh critisms of certain conservatives, Colmes, in noble fashion, delves into matters of thought that are very worthy of discussion...especially in today's very divided red-blue political landscape. Of particular interest to me was the chapter concerning "church and state", morality and religion from the standpoint of our forefathers. I must say, of all the liberal books I've read, the insightful argument made on this misunderstood yet widely abused facet of politics is unique to this book. That chapter alone is worth the book purchase and will cause many to rethink their mantras. Must-read material for everyone.
