Rating: Summary: Outstanding Debut! Review: This is a terrific spy thriller, whether it is a first novel or the tenth by the author, Maureen Tan. Jane is an intelligent, savvy, nerves of steel, beautiful spy. I hope Ms. Tan continues the saga of "Lady Jane". It's so refreshing to have the "hero" be a woman.
Rating: Summary: A fun read Review: This was an enjoyable book. I liked the heroine and I thought the pace and plot were both excellent. It was fun seeing Jane shift scenes from Ireland to Louisiana. Go Jane!
Rating: Summary: Where have they been hiding? Both Jane and TAN? Review: Truly a book that kept me saying "One more chapter and then I can put it down". The last chapter was that "one more". Rough language but terrific holding power. What's next from TAN? (that is the Maureen type) You know it's fiction but while you're reading it you're not so sure.
Rating: Summary: I can't believe this is a first novel! Review: Wow -- what a ride! This one was recommended to me by so many people that I caved in and bought the hardcover, and I'm thrilled I didn't wait. Jane's one of the most interesting, complex, dynamic and *real* heroines in a long, long time, and I literally can't wait to see where Tan will go with her. This is an astonishing debut novel -- I recommend it without reservation.
