Summary: The Perfect World Story Takes Away from basic idea
Review: The book serves as a reminder of how to effectively apologize. Unfortunately, the book could be written in about 4 pages instead of 107. There are about 10 different pages in the book that sum up the major points and if you just write these down and review them several times it will save you the money and extra time of having to read the story involved.
The entire story is so hokey that it's almost sickening. In the "perfect world" of the young man in which the story revolves around, every single comment made sounds like it's from an episode of Mr. Rogers. The story is just too much too handle for most people I know, and I cannot recommend this book based on this. The only advice I can offer to someone looking for a refreshing on aplogies is to go to your local bookstore, find this book, and to sit down for 10 minutes and flip through the pages in search for the large phrases that sum up the major points. Either that, or just read the summary on the last two pages. It will save you 15 dollars and a couple hours of your time.

Summary: Save your money
Review: The message of this book is Ok. To bad it is presented in a way that is so insulting to the reader. Does Ken and the publisher think that the average business reader is so inept that the only thing that they can understand, and the only thing that will hold their interest is a simple minded fair tale? Please stop insulting us.

It is very disturbing that business books have consistently progressed from being college level books in the 80s (e.g., "In Search of Excellence") to grade school level books in the 2000s (e.g. "Who Ate My Cheese"). It is not surprising that US managers are so rapidly loosing ground to their foreign counterparts.

I am sure that there are other, lesser know books at Amazon that have much better content on the subject but yet don't talk down to the reader.

Summary: A Must Have
Review: The One Minute Apology has helped me and my family cope with some very difficult times. The book facilitated greater communication and has enabled me to get through very tough situations while maintaining my integrity.

Summary: Sorry it took so long to write this
Review: THE ONE MINUTE APOLOGY is such a treasure. I read it in about an hour, then my husand read it, and suddenly we couldn't stop apologizing. We starting out with nervous conviction, and then became silly. What was at first a challenge became fun and effortless.

THE ONE MINUTE APOLOGY taught us that integrity and honesty aren't always learned in childhood. Sometimes we have to take them on ourselves in our adulthoods to learn these traits properly. Growing up in my family, saying sorry, showed weakness--blame was better, or silence--silence was golden.

After I read THE ONE MINUTE APOLOGY I learned all that was a lie.

Staking the claim of being wrong and apolgizing from the heart is the power supreme. There should be a new super hero APOLOGY MAN!!

BRAVO ONE MINUTE APOLOGY.

Summary: The world is not that simple!
Review: The subject of apologies is much more complex than Ken and Margret would lead you to believe. The subject is a serious issue that needs to be handle in that fashion. It cannot be handled as a fairytale/bedtime story.

At this rate in a couple of years Ken will be coming out with books like "The One Minute President", "The One Minute Hostage Negotiation", "The One Minute Brain Surgeon",...

Summary: Simplistic garbage!
Review: This book fails on all fronts. The message is too trite to be of any value and the writing style is an insult to me.

The "One Minute Manager" was bad enough but this latest entry in the series is just grasping at straws. Ken, it is time to retire..... Please.
