I think this book is something people should read. I also admire all your other books even though i did not read them. I think your characters are very interesting and i like how you didnt tell a lot about there personalities and it was like there was always a missing part. I think this was a gr8 book even though i did not read the book.

Summary: OKAY
Review: I thought it was an okay book. I couldn't put it down because it was easy to read and understand, but by the time the ending came it was slightly confusing. Yes, it has an ironic ending, but it doesn't have a lesson . maybe though , it's just Miller's style of writing. I highly recommend it still. enjoy!

Summary: Fine
Review: I was not that moved by the play itself, but it is written very well. Plot is about indirect murder & the ways in which each of the guilty deal with their part in it. Lots of stage direction & set description.

Summary: a family tragedy after World War II
Review: It had quite an effect on us and through out the play we started feeling and suffering with the caracters (especially Ann and Chris). We liked the language Arther Miller used. With the different ways of speaking of every single person the different characters came out quite clearly. Right from the start we started wondering how the play could come to an end and how the conflicts could be solved. The end, however, was rather unexpected, but clever.

Summary: a historical tragedy
Review: It's a very tragical history, but at the end we had the feeling that everything was like it had to be.We didn't see the possibility of another end. It's a fair story, because everybody has to pay for the mistakes he did in his life. But there are two people punished who aren't guilty. This gives the story a big touch of reality. It's written in dialogs and you can read fast through it. Inspite of the fact that the story plays at the end of the second world war it's easy to understand what the people feel and do. It's not a tipical history about the war. The persons are at the first place, the war is at the second. We had to read it at school and we don't know if we would also read it privately. But we could recommend it.It's a very tragical history, but at the end we had the feeling that everything was like it had to be.We didn't see the possibility of another end. Summary: an interesting insight of post war tragedy
Review: Miller creates a sense of post war family tragedy in All My Sons, as he portrays the effects of war profiteering upon a Mid Western American family. The sense of tragedy is present from Act one, when the significance of the broken tree is shown. Losing a son in the war was almost commonplace during this era, but this also serves to show Kate's inner strengths. She is portrayed as weak and fragile, but with hindesight, she is a solid character. She has lived with the knowledge of her husbands crime, and the thought that if her son is dead, it is ultimately his father's doing, yet she remains strong - mainly for Chris's sake. The tension in the play is also important, as it is built up to a climax where Joe commits suicide. The plot is excellent, and the twist to the ending aids the dramatic tension. The insight into American family and community is useful, and the characters Miller created for this play have both depth and importance.

Summary: a family tragedy
Review: On the whole, we think that this book is quite exciting, because you never know what's happening next. This is a stylistic form that pleases us very much and that's also why we enjoyed reading this novel. The tension increases more and more from the beginning to the end. The plot is very clear and comprehensible, and that's why this book is quite easy to understand. Through the whole novel there is a red line. The dialogues are very interesting and lively, and every spoken word has its importance. So this novel is not very long and this make this story easy to read. The end is quite unexpected and therefore very thrilling.
