Review: I downloaded samples of Max McLeans readings and liked his voice and dynamics. This tape set is just like those. The dynamics are not too wide -- you can listen comfortably in your car without constantly turning up and down. Note that this is the New Internation Version (NIV). That was a definite plus, since that IS what I wanted. However, from the product documentation, it was not clear. I downloaded the audio sample and it read like the NIV, so I was pretty confident. When I got it, it was the NIV, so I was pleased. Even on the packaging, there is only a brief reference to which version it is. The only drawback I see is the packaging. It comes in a standard audiobook cardboard casing, which was to be expected. However, with 12 tapes, it can be hard to manage. I will have to get a secondary case. However, I prefer the cheaper cost (where they do not provide a case) so that I can pick out my own case (others may already have cases). All in all, I am very pleased.
