Summary: Tapes are Excellent, Book is ok
Review: I thought the tapes were very well done and would highly recommend them for a beginner or someone needing a review. I took a few years of French over 10 years ago and these tapes brought be back up to speed very quickly. The book, however, is full of little errors that indicate it was not quality checked before printing. As long as you can deal with that, it is still very helpful. I would ask the publisher to edit and also update the style of the book - it looks like it was printed in 1970.
