Summary: A Most Delightful and Colorful Children's Book
Review: "SNOWFF, the Snowflake Kid Adventure Series," is the most delightful and creative children's book I have ever read. Every school in America should purchase this book for their students and use it in their classrooms to help teach science principals to children. Snowff will create within each student a love for science and an understanding of scientific principals. Each child who sees the book, reads the stories, and listens to the musical/drama CD's that will accompany each book in the series will be enthralled with the character, Snowff, the Snowflake Kid, and all of his many pals. The illustrations in these books are wonderful and very colorful. At the same time, they are simply penned and drawn so that every child who sees them will understand very clearly the scientific principals presented on each page. This book brings science into the classroom in a very delightful way. Snowff is a wonderful read¯even for adults! Carolyn's great talent and ability to write books for children really does come forth in these stories of Snowff and his many adventures. Her vast musical talent is portrayed in the CD that accompanies each book. The CD tells the story so that the child can read-along, but the CD also portrays its many characters using different voices, sound effects, music, and drama. This combination of book and CD will capture each child's undivided attention¯the teacher's too! Teachers, buy it and use it in your classrooms. Parents, buy it and use it as a great bedtime read. I am mesmerized by the narration, the voices of the characters, the sounds and the songs that are contained on the CD. The story truly comes alive. If you like audio books, you will love this CD and book. Do your want to know how Snowff got his name? Would you like to meet White Cloud? How about Friendly Sun? Well, you can meet these and other enchanting characters in Carolyn's books. I give this book five stars and highly recommend it for your children and grandchildren.
